Salarian Engineer or Asari Vanguard would be my most wanted. I'd settle for a Carnifex though.

Salarian Engineer would be my ideal Starter Pack unlock, though I'd be pleased with a Drell Vanguard. I've been enjoying that in the demo.

A Gold Card SMG would be pretty swell, too.

It doesn't. It's just been adapted for a different use.
The ME2 Revvie was a high DPS gun, that had a vendetta against the ceiling and sky for some reason (high recoil).
The ME3 Revvie has a lower DPS, but the same rate of fire, and less recoil. Slap some special ammo on it, and it's lethal.

The main difference was that the ME2 varient was designed to be an "Ultra-Rifle": being able to take on armoured enemies and cut through mooks like butter; but being difficult to control without AdrenRush.
The ME3 model is more of a traditional machine-gun: its accuracy and rate of fire make it a great suppression rifle for large swathes of mooks, while dealing enough hurt to put down Turrets and Phantoms with relative ease. It's also good against Guardians, as i've found.

Thanks for the intel. I've never played ME2 as of yet (I will pick all 3 games up with my copy of ME3, relax.). I seen it in use in my first few rounds of MP and I liked the look of it. It seemed like one of those guns that's hard but rewarding to use, I like those moreso than a simple spray cannon. Can't wait for full-game to try out some more classes too.

The fiancee is knitting me a good luck hexapuff in a shade of blue so that I draw my Asari Adept. I dislike intensely the pack system at least in its current demo form.
I think it would be keen if for our starter pack we could pick at least one thing from the store ourselves. Even better if us long servicers got to pick one more for each game that we had finished. So 2 for ME1 & ME2 for most of us.

Give me a Revenant. I tank for my group, and the Revenant is the best tanking weapon for Atlas'. Also, it's really easy on my trigger finger. Maybe that's why I like it so much...

I've bought 20 or more veteran packs and have not unlocked a single alien species, is there some trick to it? I want a Krogan and Turian soldier damn it! The only alien I have is a Drell which was in the "starter pack". I've seen people as low as level 6 with Krogans and Turians. I really do not like the random unlock business, shame it's the same in the full game.
