I think flipping the cover yourself is a horrible idea. FemShep is still hidden this way and thus nothing has been gained.

Seriously? Just shut up already.

Always someone ready to complain about something.

Some people will **** about anything. I'm really starting to hate the Bioware Social Network.

Nevermind you are now crying because it isn't 50/50. Why can't you understand most people don't care about Femshep and only people on this forum do ? <_<

Unless when your next in Game you sneakily flip all the covers in the display boxes around to FemShep ^_^ ;)

Honestly its amazing to have.  For ME2 all FemShep got was four screenshots a couple weeks prior release.   Now she is on a reversable cover on every box on every platform!!   Its a staggering achievement!  Plus it shows how awesome Bioware is in changing what everyone thought was a set in stone stance!

B)

I was just thinking of going into GameStop after launch and doing just that.

Granted, the best solution may have been to ship all copies with both covers, but have 50% of them feature ManShep and the other 50% FemShep on the front.

But still, it is a step forward in terms of recognition. Together with that one trailer, a long step from ME1/ME2.

Who knows. Maybe in a few years enough progress has been made so that all trailers are released in a male and a female version (for what it's worth, all that needs to be done is switching a single model in the cutscenes - the voiceovers are recorded for both genders anyways as it's all from the actual game). And maybe we'll even get a FemShep action figure some day, too. :P

Stats do not lie. Majority player don't care about Femshep deal with it.

This is awesome. BioWare did a good thing with this. Now, quick, re-release MEs 1 and 2 with FemShep covers. :)

It's possible that stores might intentionally flip some of them before they put them on the shelves. Regardless, though, this is a fantastic achievement given what happened with ME2, like Captain Crash said.

If the idea was to use her in marketing then it failed. As you may know marketing is used to sell stuff. If FemShep is hidden and not vissible anywhere on the front or the back then I assume she is only included to keep the fans happy. However, the fans buy the game anyway. Any new player interested in playing a female will still be in the dark that way.

So, no. I think I make a valid point. Your aggression doesn't really help producing friendly discussions.

Not everyone turned on the onlnie feture, plus we don't know if that's one playthrough, all playthroughs, frist playthrough. Stop using those stats like they are the holy grail. This one thinks you need to grow up and let people whine if they want.

Sounding a bit bitter I think.  Oh well, you can keep your male side.  This is a really nice gesture that all  :) B)

I mean this is for another large fanbase.   If ME2 sold 4 million copies thats still three quarters of a million people who prefer her!  Plus she never had any sort of promotional material.  Now she does so I am sure that figure will be even higher this time around.

Do this. I will do this if you do.

Though, I do wish it wasn't necessary.

Sorry AFW but im quite suprised and think this is really cynical of you.   She didnt have to be on the cover at all and Bioware could have just left it blank.  They chose not to and now that image is spread even further.   I mean Game Shops will notice there is a reversible cover and Im sure some will go out their way to flip the covers in store to mix it up their displays a bit at the very least.

Yes you can say its fan service as well, the fans certainly are happy about it already.  I do think there is much more to it and there is a lot of potential to spread her further.   There are a lot of positives with this

Nah, Brad. I am not intending to be cynical. A cover is a marketing tool and one which you can flip yourself makes no sense. BioWare could have just left her out altgether. Only the FemShep fans would be a bit disappointed. The potential customer interested in a female PC would be the none the wiser in both situations. Let's hope that we see it in stores. That would at least do some good. I doubt it, though.

I can see your perspective mate.  I just think its more then a nice pat on the back to fans.  I mean who's to say Bioware are enforcing that all ME3 Boxes have to leave the manafacturing plant with MaleShep on the front either  ;)

B)

Im confident we will see FemShep on the Box in more then a few places

I'm going to be colouring over the Femshep side so that she is as she should be: blonde.

This is cool, but just another thing i'm going to have to correct with my paintbrush.

As Metal-Dragon-Kiryu  has just pointed out, they also gone to the effort of redesigning the back for her as well
