Visually I'm very pleased with the armors, but some are more appealing than others. Is it good to assume that we want more of everything? I don't like a specific character due to the way it is armored up for battle. I would like an Alternative Armor pack.
If you're willing to pay for it then it's exactly this type of attitude that propagates appearance pack DLC and drains resources and brain power that could have been better applied to catching things like a dreadnought in atmosphere and Anderson's hot coals run. DLC may or may not be content that was originally intended for the full game, but surely nobody can deny that the consideration of DLC allows developers to think about putting in less to begin with so they can put out more later(and at much more cost to the gamer).

Most laughs I've had from a game since...well the infamous Skyrim backwards flying dragons.

Human Vanguard. Big, burly bugger who looks like a freight train, nevermind moves like one.
Asari Vanguard: Skin tight suit.
Now...why can't I put an Asari in a big, burly bugger of a suit of armour & a Human in a bodysuit? BIOWARE, GIVE!

Point taken about holding out content. I hope that is not the approach BioWare is using. I feel I may be jumping the gun. I will wait and see what is available in the full game. I just don't like some Armors. I can be very vain about my character's appearance. I'm easily visually seduced. I would like to see all the classes and armors next to each other so we could visually grade them. I'm a sucker for good visual design. I'm not saying I dislike any specific design I just favor some over others. Does anyone know if these are present in "The Art of Mass Effect" book?

What could have used some work however, is the bloody helmets. Why in the name of all that is holy and the seven cursed hells do human Alliance soldiers have the same helmets as the Cerberus assault troopers? My super duper killer soldier looks no better than a Cerberus mook, and gets shot at accordingly for looking like one. Really Bioware. Not cool.
And I don't own a copy of "The Art of Mass Effect" so I really can't comment.

Unfortunately I think the human armour exists as a visual diffentiator for the classes, and the most you can do about it is change the pattern, that annoys me a little as well, but hardly enough to want an appearance pack. The aliens are, unfortunately, all rather samey. This shows that Bioware, as humans, are all racist. Against alien species.

*ahem* allow me to rephrase it to "samey". Is that better?
