I love the characters of Mass Effect. If my Shepard was getting married, Tali would be the bride and Garrus would be the best man. Out of respect to my quarian bride Liara and Legion would not be invited. Legion as we all know is a Geth and that would clash with Talis side of the family. Liara is not invited because I slept with her in the first game and her presence would not be appropriate. But I digress...

My point is, I have a special place in my heart for these characters, which is why seeing some of them make the ultimate sacrifice would make for some great drama. Imagine Grunt battling wave after wave of husks only to be incinerated by a reaper laser. Imagine watching helplessly from a distance as Jack is impaled on a husk spike. Imagine carrying a mortally wounded Tali to safety only to have her die in your arms. Or Joker slipping on a banana peel aboard the Normandy.

As we all know this is the last game in the trilogy. Im not saying everyone should die (Personally, I'd like to see certain characters get a stand alone game of their own), but judging by the number of reapers we see in the trailers, Mass Effect 3 makes everything Shepard has done in the last two games look like a walk in the Park. I can't imagine that the whole crew is going to make it out alive and frankly I don't want them to.

I already know enough to say that ME3 meets the squadmate-death quota, although not all deaths are strictly necessary.

Yeah, some are set in stone, some are avoidable through planning, and some are due to choices you have to make.

Hopefully I won't run out of meatsh...companions. Already lost half of my squad in ME2.

Given the scale and intensity of the war, I don't see how it should be possible to save your entire squad.

i hope so, give the game more idk the word hmmm effect? lol i hope it's not as easy as the suicide mission, going thru that you almost had to purposely choose the wrong people, if some have to die, i want it to come right out of the blue and your like what the hell??? didn't know i had to choose something in that scene xo

It's mostly correct.

All of the Mass Effect 2 cameos has a chance of dying, except Legion and Thane. Their deaths cannot be stopped.
And I'm quite certain Samara dies later in the game even if you choose to keep her alive.

As for Morinth, doesn't she become a banshee? Or maybe that was Samaras other daughter.

Samara is a war asset. There is a way to keep her alive.

I'll fight tooth and nail to keep Ashley & Garrus alive and we'll all finish the game together just like in Mass Effect 1, then we'll live happily ever after.

Thane and Anderson dieing I can see but Lgeion Mirnada and smara/motinth I can't see dieing unless you screw up
