Best way to describe that ad is, unnecessary.

They have talented, award winning artists. They should have gone that in game cutscenes route.

BTW just completed my lvl 50 main quest, now thats what i call epic.

Yup .. It`s was actually iron Marsche ( THE SS which was taken) . Which server you play ? I play on the french europe server -..-

Other people here still playing the game? I had a pretty long hiatus during January, but ever since April I've been back in it almost daily.

Nowadays I'm playing a lot since Anet's bringing new content really damn quick. It's almost twice a month that we get a content patch these days!

Here's my second character Dominus Tuus, a necromancer that just hit level 80 last week



Went for a bit different sort of look. Besides his mask it's not immediately apparent he's a Necro imo. He also plays a bit weird, mostly at melee range, sitting on his wells

How fitting for an older thread to be revived by a Necro.

I recently purchased the game after seeing friends play it, and I've not been disappointed. Better than WoW, Age of Conan, and SWTOR imo.

Here's my level 20 norn necro in town clothes: 



I'm also something of a melee range build, using dagger/warhorn and relying on wells/conditions. For certain heavy hitting bosses with melee-range aoe, I switch to a staff and stay at range as much as possible. Working out well. People struggle with a boss then I run up drop my wells and other stuff and boom, down go the boss' HP. Great for soloing.

I've never managed to get good use of the staff, though then again, I'm specced for Power and Healing Power and not condition damage at all. I use axe/warhorn for ranged fights, lets me kite at medium distance until the cooldowns on my dagger/dagger and wells are off

Melee necromancer works decently, since they have as much base HP as the warrior, which is a lot

If you want an alternate melee necro build, try Pow/Prec/Crit dmg while eating Omnomberry Pies to regenerate health on crit. It will really help you stay alive against tougher enemies.

Thanks for the tips; I'm always tweaking for improved performance, and this game gives us quite a few options. I don't frequently have company (my friends are in different time zones or always in WVW) unless it's for boss events, so I have to build somewhat for survival.

I'm still playing despite having a lot of criticisms about anet and their live support. I just got my 4th level 80 (a Guardian, also got Ele, Mesmer and Engineer). I'm still playing basically because of WvW and cause I've been in a couple of good guild throughout the life of the game.
