Pretty much this. Can't login at all right now. Oh well, at least I was able to reserve a bunch of names. Wish they'd remove "bite" from their list of innapropriate words for names though. Wanted to have a Charr with "Bellybiter" in their name. "Bellygnawer" just doesn't sound as good.

It was allowed in the betas too. Silly Anet changing the rules at release, no fair!

Seems mostly stable now, at least as far as NA is concerned

Once they got the servers fixed which took about 6 hours, it's been pretty stable. I've only got some random disconnects while in Hoelbrak or however the Norn home city is spelled. And it wasn't all day but for about 20 minutes around 3pm eastern.

I still hope they'll get the Trading Post to work properly. I can't sell anything, so crafting en masse is absolutely no option, and I can't get proper money for any of my slightly rarer loot

I find this interesting, last 2 BWEs TP was working near perfect but now its just exploded.

So much for "armor" Yet it can easly disract a lot of gamers nowadays.

Even low level armors are very cool in GW2, and there are lots of Transmutation Stones" coming from exploaration. So you can yuse your dress for a long time.


BTW Dungeon Sets preview on all races.

I almost never say this but Guild Wars 2 is awesome. I am only level 8 with my warrior and still have a billion things I want to do in the game.

I love the way they setup this game; in every other mmo, if other people are on the same quest as you, you hate it, but in this game, it is a positive game. Same for resource gathering, all resources are tuned for you and only you, but they are in the same area as everyone else. No more rushing for nodes.

Speaking of questing, I love that there is just basically AOE questing, and you get your own personal quest.

I am going to 100% every area, I just got done with Queensdale.

Engineer is GREAT fun. So many possibilities. Can't wait to get my elixir gun!

Oh, and I LOVE how you can find extra skill points from exploring! Sheesh, this game is built like a really good SP game with super COOP

OH, AND THE BEST PART....NO SUBSCRIPTION FEES.

This video explains that with the decreasing cost of internet service, a $15 subscription fee is hardly justifiable for any game. Even subscription model games should drop their prices into maybe $10 or $5 monthly sub.

My "descendant" will be elementalist, just like my GW1 main. I'm also making an asura guardian for sure, just for silliness of having a tiny asura wielding giant weapons. Planning charr engineer and sylvari thief too.

And heritage stuff is so shiny *_* I don't have full HoM, just up to the point of "Ghostly Hero" (38/50), but I unlocked all the items. I'm pretty satisfied with having everything in Cantha done, since I love Factions the most. xD

A while back, I recall reading news about Guild Wars 2 being F2P. This doesn't seem to be the case as I keep seeing people talk about paying for it. Apparently there are three separate editions of the game, with each edition being offered at a different price. Nothing appears to be F2P.

I guess things have changed since then? I thought it was official that the game was going to be F2P - unless I'm missing something obvious, as usual.

It is F2P in the sense that once you purchase the game you don't pay any subscription fees every month (unlike every other MMO). The prices you saw are the different editions of the game(ie.standard, digital deluxe, collector's etc,) which come with different bonuses such as ingame items and so forth. So the only thing you pay for is the initial purchase of the game and for items in the in-game store but these are entirely optional.It's the way ArenaNet makes their profit without a subscription model.
