Lighting causes black triangles. Why?

I seem to get some rather strange results when using the lightmapping function. I get these black triangles on the floor and I'm not sure why it's happening:

It looks like the black triangles occur between floor models. Is it something wrong with the lighting setup, I wonder? or a limitation of the models meaning the intersections will have to be covered up? :?

I have a static point light, an ambient baked light and an animated light in that level. Could it have something to do with the position of the lights in the room?

It looks like a variant of the "terrain seams" bug. There's a new version of the lightmapper that may fix that problem: http://social.bioware.com/project/717/
