On what I should start uppgrading, I have 39 points for it. Also the best weapons setup?
EDIT: This class suck ass, my Drellguard is so much better and more fun to use :D

Flamethrower turret is a must.

Also you really want to get yourself Cryo power.
It's very useful.

Also, shotgun.

If you want to go with the turret, my recommendation is armor-piercing and flamethrower. I've heard people rave about those abilities. I took cryo ammo and rockets, and the proc from the former is nonexistent, and the damage from the latter is negligible. It requires you to better place the turret as opposed to fire and forget (treat it like a proximity mine), but you can throw it at Cerb Engineer turrets and walk away and it'll do the work for you.

Get Incinerate up to Cryo Explosion; its damage is sorta puny otherwise on anything above Bronze. Then get Cryo up to increase damage against anything that's chilled/frozen. See where I'm going with this? Big boom.

SMGs don't do nearly as much damage as heavy pistols. Don't worry about your passive getting maxed. Run around with Sniper/Heavy Pistol or Shotgun/Heavy Pistol. And Fitness is your call. If you go deep enough in to it, I'd recommend the defensive route. You shouldn't be meleeing people as an Engie.

Just stick with the Heavy Pistol only. That will give you 200% Cooldown bonus. Using Incinerate and cryo will make short work of anyone your pistol wont!

Stick with your human. Overload isn't worth giving up.

If you insist on playing the Quarian, take the Carnifex if you have one.

Pure heavy pistol so that you have a +200% cooldown bonus or close to it, depending on what rank of the gun your using.
Maxed incinerate, max it for single target don't take splash.
Max turret, finish of by taking flamethrower.
Max quarian engineer.

I personally never bother with any of the cryo powers, I find them to be utterly useless.

I fully upgraded Incinerate and Turret (with flamethrower and armor piercing), then left Cryo at level 3. Then put all the other points into Fitness and Quarian Defender.

Also, I just use an Avenger X. No need for another weapon when you've got a fully upgraded Incinerate for long range.

Play Silver/Gold. Try to say that again.

Personally I would ignore Fitness as I tend to do on my caster characters. I don't value it as much for those.

I love the Quarian Engineer, but sadly I think it is less effective than Human Engineer. Anyway, I love going for the heavy freeze & burn combo that you can pull off. Cryo Blast, Incinerate with the double damage on frozen targets upgrade, Flamethrower that freezes and has a flamethrower. Brilliant.

I tend to just use a Tempest SMG (Though I don't think it's the most effective, I like it) or a heavy pistol like the Carnifex.

Definitely my favourite character that is in the demo and have played her with great effect on all the difficulties but the lack of overload from the Human Engineer made me conclude that Quarian Engineer is inferior on anything but the Bronze difficulty. Still works though.

Yeah how do you make up for lack of Overload?

Human engineer seems superior.

Sentry turret with flamethrower. Deploying it to the right spot, it can really mess up enemy formations.

I've played silver/gold with my quarian engineer, as well as other class/race combos. My opinion still stands.
  • Stasis Bubble > Cryo
  • Incinerate+Flamethrower Turret > Incinerate+Cryo
  • Cryo can still be useful, but is definitely outclassed by other available alternatives.

Quarians don't have a way around shields, but a flamethrower turret is SO much more useful than a maxed out drone, in my experience. You can place it exactly where you want, right in choke points, with armor piercing and flame damage. Once shields go down, quarians eat through armor like a thresher maw.

The Combat Drone is much better than the Sentry Turret.

Yes, absolutely, but the 100% damage to incinerate and the armor debuff makes it nice for tougher targets, like Atlases and Phantoms, which are really what you should be using it for anyways. I'm not saying you should use Cryo for everything, but that it does make certain situations that the Quarian would find tough without it, easier.

I upgraded the sentry gun with rockets and I have been getting a good amount of kills with it per game. This is just my view from personal experience as reading the thread I see many favor the flamethrower.

A simple hand gun (Phalanx or Carniflex) and cryo/incinerate combos are all you need. For added pleasure evolve the Sentry Turret into its flame thrower evolution and listen to the screams! Toss in a few cryo blasts into the mix to trigger devastating cryo explosions! I love this game!

My advice: Get Cryo Blast to rank 4 as soon as possible and pick the increased radius. This will be your most-used ability. After that... I recommend speccing your passives for max weapon damage to kill quicker (I did not). A Pistol with a scope should be your main weapon, along with an SMG for backup (Shuriken is good).

The turret is not very good at all in my opinion. Maxing it out for the Flamethrower option makes it better, but still not that great; I miss the Combat Drone.

After that, it is up to you. Evolving Cryo Blast to make enemies take more Incinerate damage is option. I evolved it so frozen enemies take more weapon damage. I screwed up and did not spec my passives to deal more weapon damage so it was somewhat counter-productive. It means I can freeze almost everyone, but cannot kill them as quick as I would like. At least I get the assist when my teammates finish them off for me.

I like the flamethrower but I kinda prefer the rockets. It's bizar, though, and I pray this is just a demo thing but. Flamethrower turret creates a glitched out sound that sticks in the spot on a map if the thing dies while its using its flamethrower. That means after 20 minutes the maps pretty irritating to sit in as you have 10+ sounds all glitched playing non-stop, gets really loud. then you get NO sound from Rocket Sentry. No sound when firing rockets, no sound when the rockets hit. Like the files are just missing for it heh.

Really bizar **** - not sure if that's a 360 thing or not.

Pistols and SMGs
1. Incinerate
2. Turret
3. Cryo
I happened to give mine high fitness and assault training and I usually kick much butt with her.
