Every class I've played, the aliens are better. Salarian is a better infiltrator, Turian is a better sentinel, Krogan is BY FAR a better soldier. I haven't played extensively with all classes, so I want to hear what everyone else thinks. From what I hear, it's pretty much unanimous that the Asari adept is superior to the human. The only class where I've heard the human is better is the vangaurd class, because the Drell is too fragile. Don't know much about engineers though.
What does everyone else think?
Anybody out there got love for the humans? I'm not trying to hate, I just want to know why. From what I've played, the aliens are always better.
Is it just me, or do the human characters suck compared to their alien counterparts?

I think that's the basic idea. We start with humans then upgrade to aliens.
The human engineer and adept, though, are really, really good. The only reason the adept loses out to asari is Stasis Bubble.

I'd say human vanguard and human engineer are superior to their alien counterparts by a longshot. No nova for the alien vanguards and combat drone is pretty epic.

Possibly I haven't played that much. I'm running with a human soldier and I've not had much trouble cutting through the enemy. I'm only level 12, but with high weapons damage powers, a Widow Maker, extended barrel, extra clips and Adrenaline rush engaged. I can lock down part of the map with little difficulty. Bronze is silly as it's just exploding heads, silver's a bit tougher but do able if the team's good at supporting. Gold Is tough.

It goes in line with the canon as humans are capable of doing everything but Alien races specialise in certain aspects for example the Asari are a very Biotic dominated race so anything to do with biotics they have a natural advantage and Krogan are born to be warriors so it makes sense for them to be the best soldiers.

That's why I said maybe. Frags are very useful. I'm just skeptical about the class as a human overall, that's all.

That's why I said maybe. Frags are very useful. I'm just skeptical about the class overall, that's all.
That's fair. To be honest, none of the classes seem "Bad," even a Sentinel can be useful. It's just not everything can be as universally useful like an Asari Adept or Infiltrator is.

I have the quarian engineer and the human with the drone is much better. Of course, that could just be because I played 18 levels with the drone and can't grasp a new tactic with the turret.
Also, the drell vanguard is not nearly as good. I think I messed up taking the grenades, but still... the shields and health are pretty low in comparison.

The Human Engineer is one of the Best classes in the game. If I had to pick a team of four. I'd pick the Asari Adept or Vanguard, the Human Engineer, the Turian Sentinel, and the Salarian Infiltrator.
The Human Infiltator is nearly as good as the Salarian one.

The human Sentinel is basically a slightly worse version of the asari Adept. While she has somewhat more survivability than the Adept does, the Sentinel doesn't get as-good of a biotic boost, doesn't have as good of a heavy melee, and doesn't have the ability to drop a stasis bubble on yo'ass.Storenumber9 wrote...

Part of it is also probably that since Humans were the first races we got to play, we all specced them terribly while learning the ins and outs of the game and can't fix our mistakes. So when we unlocked the aliens we got fresh starts with the skills and did a little better.
