Is it just me, or do the human characters suck compared to their alien counterparts?

Human Soldier and Sentinel are the only the only two bad ones. The rest are on par or superior.

I have to disagree with you there.

The Salarian infiltrator is more durable but also more defensive in nature.  I believe the Salarian also benefits more from sniper rifles that can be fired more rapidly that the widow because you are routinely dedicating cooldown timers on multiple abilities rather than just tactical cloak.

The human infiltrator on the other hand has acccess to more percentage weapon damage bonuses than the Salarian.  This works especially well if you're going for an overkill build which focuses on stacking as much damage as possible so a single headshot out of tactical cloak will kill anything short of an Atlas mech.  The build is designed for headhunting the more dangerous enemies while your team takes care of the basic enemies.  Sticky grenades synergize well with this purpose and are great against turrets.

I know that this is what most think, but frankly I really just don't see it.  I prefer Cryo to Energy Drain, and I vastly prefer Sticky Grenades to the mines, at least if the Sticky misses it will still go off, whereas if the Proximity mine doesn't land 'at the feet' the enemy knows on a near omniscent level to avoid it.

And this.

Human soldier with 3 grenades... doesn't seem to be weak, as a matter of fact he is very good at taking down guardians, by throwing a nade behind their asses.

Drellguard is a bit underpowered because of his super thin barrier, while Human Vanguard's Charge + Nova combo is tad overpowered which makes the human vanguard undeniably easier to play

Every class I've played, the aliens are better. Salarian is a better infiltrator, Turian is a better sentinel, Krogan is BY FAR a better soldier. I haven't played extensively with all classes, so I want to hear what everyone else thinks. From what I hear, it's pretty much unanimous that the Asari adept is superior to the human. The only class where I've heard the human is better is the vangaurd class, because the Drell is too fragile. Don't know much about engineers though.

What does everyone else think?

Anybody out there got love for the humans? I'm not trying to hate, I just want to know why. From what I've played, the aliens are always better.

My lvl 19 Infiltraotr Lyza would be to differ. Maxed cloak almost maxed fitness, Widow I with barrel attachment and heat sink for more shots. She's my go to for Silver and Gold runs and she's damn lethal. Phatoms call her when they see her, If they see her.Posted Image

Salarians can do this too, but better.

Ontopic: I can't wait to see what Quarian Infiltrators can do. I mean they've got sabotage so I'm expecting good things.

In most cases the races are on par, they just have different play styles.

Considering we get humans first and unlock the other races later, I'd expect the aliens to have slight advantages.

It's kind of like in Resident Evil 5. BSAA Chris and Sheva were your only two to start, then you unlock progressively stronger characters until you got STARS Wesker, who was borderline OP (and Midnight Wesker was the best for high scores). But just because the later unlocks were better didn't mean the originals were unusable; everyone was usable, and could be used to obtain SS scores. There was just a difference in ceilings; while BSAA Chris would be lucky to break 200,000pts, Midnight Wesker could break 700,000pts once you knew how to use him. Two Midnight Weskers in co-op and you could break a million.

What's bad about the Sentinel?

I've had no problem playing one or with others in my group.

The human Sentinel is basically a slightly worse version of the asari Adept. While she has somewhat more survivability than the Adept does, the Sentinel doesn't get as-good of a biotic boost, doesn't have as good of a heavy melee, and doesn't have the ability to drop a stasis bubble on yo'ass.

Just one phrase to redeem the Human Sentinel: "Their biotic explosion absolutely owns". Warp+Throw combo on Gold takes Centurion with full hp to 1-2 health bars(meaning, if you put  3 bullets from Avenger in him, while you wait for recharge, it's a oneshot). Everything else, except Phantoms(that's were Statis bubble+throw combo shine), and Atlas(every explosion=3-4 less health bars+knockback and stray kills) dies even more easily. Best class for saying "I'm biotic god" :)

Overall,Sentinel with right spec(those power and force damage bonuses really stack high) is a good addition to the team on Gold. You just need someone else  to control those pesky phantoms.
