All you do is go to control panel, boot up the game, alt+tab and go to processes and find the masseffect3.exe (or masseffect3demo.exe) and right click it and go to Set Affinity. Then de-select affinity 1, or 0. Click okay. Then click it Set affinity again, and re-select what you deselected. You are good to go.

Apparently this issue is related to the Unreal engine and Dual Core CPUs.
In Mass Effect 2 I had major loading time issues, usually on the Normandy while going from deck to deck to talk to crew members. This actually made me dread replaying the game until I googled Mass Effect 2 Load times pc and found the aforementioned fix. I anticipated seeing this issue again in ME3 and sure enough trying to boot up some multiplayer resulted in horrific load times and almost immediate disconnects. Luckily, this fix works as well in 3 as it did in 2, so I figured I'd pass it along :)

Wow..... just tried this. What a huge difference. Load times are only a couple seconds at most.

Thanks for posting this.

Yeah. It seems like a lot to do but it's actually pretty simple, and its efficacy speaks for itself.

Just trying to pay it forward. This fix made playing ME2 a lot more enjoyable, hope it does the same for others in ME3 :D. Anyone know why Bioware/developers can't make their games that use the Unreal engine do this by default somehow (use both cores on dual core gpus)?
