I made the mistake of looking too closely at some older hanging merchant sign placeables (by DoA, included in CEP).  You know the ones, with a support beam coming out from a nearby wall or column, with heavily distorted copies of inventory icons (or portraits) for pictures on wood.

8 hours of image searching and editing, then some model work...and I got 32 signs that replace the old ones...without having to replace existing signs in the toolset.
B)

They'll also work as stand-alone models.  Using them with CEP actually requires some minor hak editing to remove the included placeables.2da.

Just waiting for Vault approval and they'll be ready for everyone.  Here's some preview pics for ya'll.  And I really wish this forum didn't automatically downsize images bigger than 540 pixels...You can right-click and view image to see the full sized versions.

And comparing the new and old textures. The old ones consist of two images, each 512x512 pixels (128x128 for each sign). The new ones start as 1024x1024, then were broken down to individual 256x256 textures for each sign.

*groans* You know, I really should have had a drool bucket and towels ready. You would think I'd have learned that lesson by now. VERY nice looking upgrades.

Very nice! Especially the scales are a big improvement.
The only one I don't like as much as the rest is the sign for armour. A breast plate or a helmet would be better. When I first looked at that sign without looking at the sign it replaces, I thought it was for a sculptor.

And I missed these, how?  I just added your More TNO Placeables to my PW's hak today.  Now it looks like there will be more work for me in browsing, extracting, and merging.  Good thing the number of possible placeables is pretty much unlimited.

What a huge improvement, the only slight reservation is the pawnbroker sign that you have converted to scales, scales are useful though.  :D

Very, very nice. Now if I could learn how to pull a texture off a model I could have fun too :)

@AmethystDragon - Very nice, though I agree about the "armorer" sign not looking as armor-y as it could.  Just tried this in game and the armor sign looks fine..  I also have a minor qualm about  the pawn balls to scales but I think people will still get the idea anyway.  After looking them over, the herbs one is the only one I think people might look at and not understand what they're seeing.  Could just be me though, my eyes are not that good.  As usual, really high quality stuff that still looks like it belongs in NWN.  Thank you for sharing it with us!

@Tiberius_Morguhn - Also very nice.  I missed these on previous searches apparently.

@Birdman076 - If you PM me and tell me what you want to do and I'll try to tell you how to do it or at least get you pointed in the right direction.

Cool - glad the stuff is useful/helpful.  Sorry for any thunder stealing - it was not my intent, although hindsight is 20/20 for these things.

Great looking signs by the both of you kinda reminds of the City Exterior tileset I was creating with pstemarie a year ago, they would fit in extremely well. In fact I may break it back out as it was scheduled for a future release of neverwinter nights enhanced past version 2 which never made the light of day.

Nice work. Finally, the bakery won't have a sign that looks like a molar.

First time I loaded up The Wanderer and started exploring the village I thought to myself, "They have a dentist here?"

Love the update, great touches that'll add to any town.

You know, I didn't even know about the pawnbroker symbol. From the original image, I just guessed that it was some seriously distorted balance scales.
