Hurts to say, but not getting ME3

I agree day one DLC might as well just be packaged and sold as part of the vanilla game (they should at least have the tact to hold onto it for a few months, as this sort of nickel-and-diming is insulting), but at least this guy also comes with the Collector's Edition. So really, if you don't want all the other BS in the CE, think of it as getting $10 off the full game for not wanting the fancy tin.
I wish I knew production costs and salaries so I could actually make a call on whether or not any of the prices are fair. Then again, I'd just go on another one of my anti-capitalism wangstfests.

What they're doing with the From Ashes DLC is not right. They're charging extra for something that should be included in the retail price. If I'm paying $60, I expect a complete game. I'm completely fine with paid DLC that comes out down the road, it's nice to have a reason to return to a game. I'm also fine with certain content being tied to an online pass. It encourages people to buy a new copy so the developer can actually profit from the purchase. However, when a company intentionally cuts out one of the most vital races to the lore, and expect you to pay 10 dollars extra when it was developed at the same time as the rest of the game, they've crossed a terrible line. I'm doing the one thing I can do and voting with my wallet. EA/BW needs to be shown that this is not acceptable.
how is it not right? they give it free to the N7 people (as it has been stated this is what it was for) and then charge those that didn't buy the N7 10$. I fail to see how this is wrong in anyway as it was designed to be a bonus for the N7 edition.
The main reason why it is NOT right is because it is already finished.
And, surprise surprise, the game is not even out yet.
That means they might as well just put it in the actual game

then it wouldn't be a bonus for the N7 edition as it was DESIGNED to be.

But anyways, if you stick with this opinion, be a man and don't download the game either. Boycott it, but not pirate it.
Because a lof of people talking about boycott are actually downloading them upon release.
I hope you are not one of them.
(Anyways, we are talking about a CE bonus. If the CE bonus would be something crappy instead, like a bonus appeareance for one character, the CE crowd wouldn't be happy about it. You can't satisfy everyone with a decision in these cases)
Or you could simply skip the DLC. That's also a way of showing you don't appreciate that method.

You know what's not funny? Bioware charging extra for a Prothean, when the fans that are most dedicated to their franchise will no doubt buy it because they'll want insight on the Protheans. They are taking advantage of their most loyal fans to make a quick buckYuoaman wrote...

I don't care one bit - if you don't think that the 30+ hour game you'll be paying $60 for is complete then more power to you, just don't act as if you're making some sort of stand against an injustice, because that's just bull****.
Yes, bravo Bioware for being intelligent. I give grudging respect to such an entity that employ a shrewd business tactic, cause massive hurt amongst (REAL FANS!!!1!!11!!), get them mad at you for somehow forcing them to give you more money, all while they complain about it. I salute thee Bioware for not being stupid.

It's amazing how many consumers don't realize the power they yield, Bioware is screwing everyone over with this DLC crap. Other things like this were free, if it was seperate from the main story it would be fine.. but it had been leaked that this was PART of the main story and cut out to be made into DLC content just to make some extra cash? It's not like ME3 wouldn't have sold, they're trying to see how far they can rip us off and how much we'll take.
Actually it has been leaked that it is not part of the main storyline. Nice effort though.

Its amazing how many people are forming this opinion after TB released a video about it...
It's not that surprising to me; he's quite popular and many people subscribe to his content.
People are bound to be galvanized to speak out when a popular figure says their boycotting a highly anticipated game due to marketing practices.
Personally, I can see where TB is coming from; however, it hasn't affected my decision to get ME3.

I am 100% boycotting it, I don't pirate games, and I try to keep used game purchasing to a minimum so I can give the dev credit where credit is duehawat333 wrote...
You are entitlted to your opinion, and hey, there are some truth in it. If it was a simple bonus mission, I wouldn't agree at all, but releasing a bonus character which is most likely done already on day 1, that's a bit sneaky.

No it is because of ONE person's opinion on youtube. This person so happens to be pretty damn popular, I have nothing against him in general and enjoy his videos, however he does overreact in the video about the importance of the said character itself. He also made mistakes in his video (which he confirmed himself and fixed). I personally think that this issue is really exgagerated and like alot of dlc and dl games lately the price might drop eventually.Arkitekt wrote...
Its like a trollbait, this issue.
Also as said earlier this character was originally meant to be just for the collector's edition. Be glad that the character is even purchasable. I like how alot of people think they can DEMAND and have THE RIGHT to content.

Doesn't seem worth it at the moment, does it? Here's hoping the Mods can keep up with the spambots from reddit.

Second, if you really wanted to show EA/BW that you do not approved of day 1 dlc then you should simply not buy that dlc rather than screw yourself out of a probably great game that completes an awesome trilogy.

Link? The information I read said that he was part of the main story when some of the script was leaked and since then they decided to make it into DLC.
