Other things like this were free, if it was seperate from the main story it would be fine.. but it had been leaked that this was PART of the main story and cut out to be made into DLC content just to make some extra cash? It's not like ME3 wouldn't have sold, they're trying to see how far they can rip us off and how much we'll take.

I said this before: blame the used game industry for this. I'm not justifying it but the devs aren't as evil as most gamers make them out to be. They have to get paid just like everyone else.

You get this DLC with the CE which is about 100$, so for a 60$ game what's the problem ?

It incentive to get the CE, because it's included. It would be silly to completely BLOCK story and character DLC to the CE, so it's available to those who want it for a price.

It's hardly different than day one DLC. I don't see a problem.

How many games have you gotten that had DLC's to them? Last game i got that didn't have the DLC was from the Playstation 1 games.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, but the blind Biodrones on this forum have lost what BioWare was about and now simply follow a brand name. They're the same kind of people who have no concern about the integrity of the gaming industry, and only care about giving their money to play games.

I don't understand this line of thinking either, I've never used this used game industry everyone is talking about as I buy most of my games online. It is not just the devs, it is their marketing department along with EA's most likely. The "they need to get paid just like everyone else" bit is irrational, like Mass Effect 3 ISN'T GOING TO SELL? That's bs, it'd be more accurate to say our economic system is a bigger reason but even then it's obvious ME3 will be a big sell.

Everyone does it now, Look at Rockstar and LA Noire man they purposely took out missions out of a completed game to use as DLC or preorder exclusives (it even referred to them in the main missions) So nothing surprises me anymore. Also I have the CE preordered anyway, but it's fked up

how is it not right? they give it free to the N7 people (as it has been stated this is what it was for) and then charge those that didn't buy the N7 10$. I fail to see how this is wrong in anyway as it was designed to be a bonus for the N7 edition.

It's not free, it's included.

At times I wonder the same thing. everytime I wait for a game I'm really anticipated for I'll join its forums to talk about the game. While those forums had their problems I have  always had a generally pleasant experience. The BSN though has to be the worst forum community I've ever seen, and after Mass effect 3 is released for a bit I probably won't return.

I dont know about other people but the only reason why I formed this opinion after watching TB's video is because I did not even know about this DLC before watching it.

That's just an excuse. By all means include an online pass but there is still no need to charge for it.

I don't like the day 1 DLC decision either (I don't like day 1 DLC at all, unless it's trivial content), but I'll protest it by not buying From Ashes, instead of skipping ME3 entirely.

The dlc came with the CE edition. They made it buyable as a DLC so people wouldn't feel like they got left out of content. Jesus.

If you don't like bioware, why do you post here?

I LOVE BioWare, but I HATE what they've become. They sold out to EA in hopes of a bigger budget to create more impressive games and have now been bent into a corporate machine.

Many people formed this opinion back when the Prothean was first leaked. This was when they first talked about a Collectors' Edition. TotalBiscuit just brought more life in the discussion by upgrading it to a boycott.

Nonsense. You will never experience "that" variation you proclaim should get, until the last DLC ever made for the title or patch has been released years down the line. You get the full experience of the product they are selling in the format they are selling it, I do not have items packs but buy story DLC, those "item packs" can also be used in your phrase. The content talked about here is downloadable content rumored to be about 700-800+ MB in size "download" it is not content locked on disc because standard edition does not have it on disc. If you wish to have the optional "downloaded" content not required to reach the end of game then buy the CE or pay less than the CE by buying the standard edition + DLC.
