Please name a big game studio that takes out a MAJOR part of the game and sells it as day1 DLC. I understand that they don't want people to buy it second hand but why can't they do the same thing that they did with Mass Effect 2 where if you bought a new copy you would get Zaeed for FREE.A4RiZ0812 wrote...
I think its more to do with EA, not bioware.
If your not happy, don't buy it. Simple. Dont start whining, since its their product and they can do what they like quite frankly. Money comes first in any business, customers come second no matter what they say..
Your just spewing out what the guy on youtube posted. To a point I agree what he said but every major game is doing it now, just going to have to live with it.
I hate EA but only buying this game because im hooked on the multiplayer which isnt even that great but as i can afford it, im buying it. Plus not interested in any game out there at the mo. For the record will not be purchasing a single dlc, not even sure if i'll bother wasting my time on single player to be honest

You get a 30+ hour shooter RPG for $60. You do NOT need the DLC to play, enjoy or beat the game. He is extra and his very existence could violate established game lore. If you hate it so much wait 18 months for the GOTY edition that will cost $30 and have all the DLCs for included.
I just don't get why people think they are entitled to anything but the game itself.
Thing is the DLC is part of the game it was made during the development cycle which means it is part of the main game and the Squadmate is a major piece in the story
Nope it's even more pathetic.
He WAS a main part of the story but they rewrote him to be practically insignificant so they could sell him as DLC.

1) BioWare tell you to shut the **** up and I still get my DLC for free as CE owner
2) BioWare give you the DLC for free because you are whinny **** head and I get a full refund of my CE because the CE wasn't as described. But I still keep the game.
result : Both situation are win for me. But the second is the best. So PLEASE BioWare put it free so I can get my money back!

DLC team always exist even if the game just started. Deal with it because you seem not to know how things go while I do.
Whether or not there is a DLC team is beyond the point. The character is IN THE GAME from day 1. You just cannot access him fully at all (even though he is in the game from day 1) unless you pay $10 on top of the over priced $60 as it is. SO you are paying $60 for a game with half a feature in it and then $10 to UNLOCK, and I do say unlock not DOWNLOAD but unlock from the disk, said feature

This is far from the first time an important character in an early draft got cut or downsized. See Legion, who was practically the first reveal for ME2, and ended up getting only a token role. All while still not being DLC. He still has dialogue for tons of stuff he can't be present for without modifying the game.Ryzaki wrote...

Bull****, a little bit of him is in the game. You have to download at least a hundred megabytes of more content, content that Bioware has still been hard at work on far after the ME3 Gold deadline.

Oh so we are not even talking about how they do DLC anymore it's only about the price of it ?... Buhuhu little peasant cry and give me all your money.
By the way it's not in the game. The DLC is 600Mo+.
I paid for it. You didn't. Deal with it.

Yeah Legion wasn't made into DLC (and actually he still is pretty important to the Quarian/Geth story. By no means is he throwaway).
Plus...are there old drafts in the script where Legion's heavily plot relevant? Does he provide intel on how to stop the collectors?
As for the dialogue he can't be present for...most characters actually have that. It's a leftover from when you could possibly recruit anyone in any order. (like Tali, Samara and Thane having dialogue during Garrus/Jack/Grunt/Mordin recruitment).

Well, my point goes that much further, then. Day-One DLC is NOT content cut from a video game. If you cannot comprehend that, you are ignorant. That is the end of the line.

Legion is still far less used than he should be. He would have been better off as DLC, because it means I could have gotten him right at the start.Ryzaki wrote...

That's the point. Legion has dialogue and materials left over from earlier builds. So does the Prothean. The distinction between "cut because of a design or technical change" and "cut because they're greedy bleeps who wanted to steal $10" is petty and arbitrary. As for the dialogue he can't be present for...most characters actually have that. It's a leftover from when you could possibly recruit everyone in any order.

Yeah while your at it go to a pizza store and demand an entire pie for free because they only gave you the two slices you paid for.
If you don't like it don't buy it, simple. I can understand why people would get upset that this isn't included in the the full game but Bioware/EA can do what they want it's their business.
What I don't get is why people are suddenly surprised about this, it has already been mentioned months ago that the CE will get an exclusive character and mission so that obviously meant the standard edition buyers would have to pay extra for it.
Also I agree that if this DLC is made free (which I highly doubt) I want a full refund on my N7 edition.

Everyone knew months and months ago that the CE would come with a character and mission pack. Many knew then who was likely to be that character. Crying about it now is flat out idiotic. Glad I got the CE and people who didn't should be glad they can access the previously exclusive character at all.
This ! Peasant be grateful toward your master or we will punish you !

You paid for DLC for a game that isn't even out yet do you see where that makes no sense.
