I can't remember when or what it was exactly, but I remember when there was a duo of lvl 1 krogan that did gold - and how the rest of community just fainted in awe.

These days people are soloing platinum, but then we have the AIU and Juggernaut.

I'm not going to solo gold any time soon, but I've succeeded with a duo on gold many times. Three competent people is a luxury (these days we have noobs to tag along in order to get easy creds); two is doable, but it's sometimes stressful.

As others have said; it's defo fun to look back and remember the more humble days before egos and cheating existed.

It's an interesting necro.
Especially now that people are already putting stipulations on themselves while soloing, like shove a soup ladle down your throat without gagging and finish a Gold solo in under 20 minutes and the like.

Just shows that eventually people will get better and things of the past that seemed impossible will become mundane things people do for the lulz.

I wound up with a 2 person Gold twice I think. First time everyone else quit by wave 2 except for the Fury who'd been blowing everything up and my Human Adept. We had about 4 more people come and go (no-one stayed an entire wave) during the next 9 waves and extracted out successfully.

Yeah, I remember watching all of that and thought to myself that I could never do that. Turned out I recently solo'd the same map and enemy on Gold with a level 0 character using the Avenger, damn I forgot how hard I used to think this game was.
