Help! Xbox 360 - can't change playing experience selection

The first time I started ME1 on my Xbox 360 (updated with NXE), a window popped up asking me what kind of playing experience I wanted (IIRC there were three choices, something like "All, No Combat, No Romance"). Not knowing the game at all, I chose "No Romance" & would now like to change that because half the fun of the game seems to be in the romancing challenges, but I can't find any way to do that.

I play from the disc (not installed on my HD), and have never seen that window again. I've tried rebootiing, removing the disk & re-inserting, playing with a new profile, and moving/deleting all of the game saves from the HD, but no luck. No matter what I do that settings window does not show up again.

Curiously, I have searched this forum and am amazed this question hasn't already come up - maybe I missed it, if so, sorry.

Does any one have a solution, or have I permanently thrown half the game away? -TIA

That's strange. I don't recall that ever being an option, but it's been so long since I started ME1 on the xbox at this point.

I don't think it has anything to do with the NXE update, but it could have something to do with whether or not you installed the game updates? Either way, I would think it only applies to that one particular career game you started? (but don't hold me to that!)

Thanks for your reply - alas, it is not career related, as the window popped up the first time before anything else had loaded, way before career choices. I've tried starting new careers (even under a new profile, just in case), but no luck.

This is on Xbox, so I haven't installed any game updates (or am I missing something - are there updates for the Xbox version?).

Strange, eh?

I don't remember if there is are updates for ME1 on xbox but almost every game does at some point it seems.

When you deleted your game save and other game data did you also clear the cache?

Yeah, I cleared the cache and rebooted the Xbox after each attempt. I even tried the procedure mentioned in another thread to transfer all data onto a USB flash drive (including Publisher Data) - even that didn't work.

I'm certain I didn't get any such option. It must be new or region-depenndent
