I doubt the unlock system will be any different.

Most likely, though the random character unlocking thingy will probably stay (My hunch, take with a pinch of salt, dont call back please) much to the blabbering dismay of the OP. I personally think the randomness will help the longevity of the MP, but what do I know?Posted Image

I assume you are talking to me, yes? I just lose my already limited patience with people who think they can demand anything they want from others. Still, perhaps caling him a spoiled child was excessive.

No not you, i agree with your post. I should have edited that a bit better. The OP is a baby about it and needs to realize we are playing a demo and things will be different in game. You sir are fine, and ill match up with you anytime.

They have announced it will be. Offering more packs to choose from. I think luck will be a big part of it either way, but the more money you put out i think the better your odds will be. This has been an interesting run either way, and i think the system works fine.

I see. I am not fond of this system, mostly because of my bad luck with it.


Wait until you get 2 or 3 gold lucks you want in a row. You will experience a joy otherwise not possible.

The unlock system should only unlock NEW things. Existing weapons should be upgraded through extended use.

I don't like it, but it's good enough. It's interesting to play and it makes you play more - and adds excitement to what you unlock, and it creates balance within the game and sort of forces you to try out other things you may not usually have tried out. Although unlocking things you already have is horrible.

The better your skill, the more credits you'll earn from completing missions, and the more chances you get to unlock stuff.  I like random unlocks.  It provides incentive to keep playing MP.  If everyone could just buy the unlocks they want with credits, the game would be stale very quickly.  It can be frustrating but all the classes are fun and effective, not just a select few.

I think it's fine. The thing that kind of annoys me is they give me a ton of stuff for a class I don't want to use. I think the game should see what class you use, i.e. infiltrator, and slightly sway the CHANCES of you getting more rank and customization for that class like a new character. Overall I think it's fine.

For the record, I feel like my idea could be implemented since they would only have to tweak the percentage of you unlocking a certain character based on the percentage of what class you use.

As long as they take into account the class you're playing now instead of the one you uses the most this could be a good alternative.

I've been speculating that perhaps in the full version, there'll be a "Pro Pack" that is wildly expensive, but has 2 guaranteed uncommons with a high rare chance. Or something like that. That might balance out the crying a bit.

I, for one, don't mind this system at all. What's wrong with chance in a game?

On a side note, I'm also hoping the packs will contain talent-point rewrites, cos I've screwed up a few of mine :3

I believe that once a character is level 20, they can be imported in the Galaxy at War system, and then you make a new character from level 1, keeping the unlocks but respeccing the powers. As to how the Galaxy at War system works on the other hand, there are dozens of threads trying to figure that one out.

Personally, I would just prefer that character unlock cards be generic, so you could choose WHICH character to unlock or continue upgrading.
