The word biodrone should also apply to those who do nothing but incessantly whine about what Bioware is doing.

Future DLC is always planned beforehand - it doesn't mean it's going to get finished before certification or even that people are actively working on it when the core game is getting finishing touches.

In this case (what BW has told us) there was about three months between certification and going gold - and during that time, a team was working on the From Ashes DLC.

I'm a sheep baah baah. I like Bioware and if I think the DLC looks good I will buy it, if doesn't (I'm looking at you armour packs and guns) I won't. I prefer Day 1 DLC because I have a job/Life and after one play through, I don't usally go back to a game so I get a better exp with it.

I hate when DLC comes out a couple of months later and you are sick of the game(I'm looking at you arrival). You buy the DLC and you don't even play it cause the loading screen even bores you. I know that makes me sound like a kid with ADHD but I play alot of games so I'm usally playing a new game when the DLC comes out,

Also this crap about EA being money grabbing villians is getting old. 15 years ago they did alot crap with dumbing down games (command and conquer, ultima etc) but they are not that bad anymore. I used to be like you guys "EA are the devil" but they have been making/publishing over the past ten years some good games and I can't stay angry because they are adding some DLC to games (which every big publisher is doing anyway).

Call me a sheep but we should be saving this angry for activision./Joking;)

Edit:Sorry for the bad sentence structure, I suck the big ones.

It was, actually:

Why would he say that if it wasn't exclusive to CE?

Specifically to confuse and irritate you.

Don't you know BW is paid by the post count?

 Okay, for the record?

The Prothean being in the script leak is not an indication of anything.

The script gives NO indication at what level of development he's at beyond the fact story events were written for him.

Don't claim that the script or voice files are evidence that he was in any significant stage of development, unless you want to look like an idiot.

Yes, and as we know, games change during development!  Do you thinking everything in the script is set in stone?

I have not once used the word "biodrone" in reference to any person with an opposing opinion, I challenge you to find one instance of me saying such a thing. I disagree with you, and I'm not going to be quiet about it because you can't handle differing opinions. I'm sorry.

You LIAR.

You're not the LEAST bit sorry.

I know this, because neither am I.

YOU may not have used the word 'Biodrone,' but I have had that word flung at me more often than feces on the window of a primate exhibit. In fact, the post immediately following that one, I was called a Biodrone.

Biodrone. As if that term somehow nullifies my viewpoint.

It could be Africans have Prothean accents, Protheans interfered in human evolution so they could've taught us how to talk and since Africa was like the birth place of civilization the first people would've sounded like Protheans, so that could be why it sounds Jamaican/African.

I have a question. The Bioware people say that the Prothean DLC was completed by a different team well after the game went to certification. Was the Prothean in the the leaked script?

He was indeed.

As I hear it he was cut from the script and they rewrote the story without him, then they decided to include him again as DLC.

That's the version I heard aswell. Didn't somebody who'd read the latest leaked skript say he wan't relevant to the overall plot? Granted, that was like... 50 pages back. Jesus this thing moves fast.

He was never relevant to the overall plot. He was always just a walking pile of Codex entries.

Ok.  Original script, back in the pre-development stages, he was a central character.  The issue was though that pretty much Shepard became irrelevent to the point where he was no more than a very vocal bodyguard with lots of friends and personal issues, while the Prothean carried the whole plot on his shoulders.  There was also a few points in the script where things involving him were...not good, at all.  Thus, amongst other issues, the original draft was rewritten with a plot more focused on Shepard to give the player a better sense of involvement in what is going on, that they are directing the outcome of this thing and not some 50,000 year old arrogant ******bag.

Now, he's just a bonus squadmate with altenative viewpoints on what you can already learn in the retail game, and has nothing to do with the overall plot of the game.

Everyone here has the right to voice their opinion, and it's ok to debate points, but i dont really think anyone has the right to say anyone who feels this isnt fair is wrong, nor does anyone have the right to say to the people who're defending bioware are wrong. Any name calling or sarcasm is childish and adds nothing to the discussion and doesnt get anyone anywhere.

And again, to make sure bioware hears any problems you wish to voice EMAIL THEM:

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard, if the problem isn't the price, then there is no problem.

QFT. If you don't have a problem spending 10 dollars, why exactly are you complaining.

Because it should be a free part of the game,it is not,it cost 10 dollars, Hence the problem.

Where can I buy future patches for the game, you know, in case there are some bugs left in the full version. Should I contact my local retailer to pre-order the patch disks?

Dear BioWare, please make this CE **and DE** exclusive. Clearly people do not want this bonus content be made available to basic edition buyers.

You know the they are happy right now. The plan has worked masterfully. Collectors Editions are sold out this DLC is now in crazy demand. Its getting all kinds of publicity for free. So now gamers will go and spend 80-90 dollars on day one, even if they rage about it here because, they know their game will not be complete without it.

I've read A script, apparently now there are two, though, and in the one I read, which was months back he did virtually nothing of note.

Don't bother, the more you reply into his troll-like comments the more he wins.

Just take the moral high ground and stop replying to his insults. Or report him, if you think that constantly insulting people like he is is borderline harasment.

I really want people to understand what's going on. I realise that there are some children around here (and with that I mean actual children and thus people inexperienced in the ways of corporations, not intended as an insult in any way) who are simply trying to defend the people who produce their favourite games, but it's up to the rest of us who are older to explain how things are going to unfold.

If we allow EA to do this to us, then there will come a time where we pay 60 dollars for a barebone launch title and then fork out another 25 to 40 dollars for Day One DLC that gives us content that's been withheld from the launch disk for no other reason than that we allowed it.

Publishers don't care for the people buying their games, they care for the wallets their money is coming from. If you do not believe that, you are fooling yourself and I mean that in the least offensive way I possibly could. We all fool ourselves every now and then, and sometimes we run into something we enjoy so much that we just want to pretend there's nothing wrong, but trust me EA's head honcho's and shareholders are laughing themselves all the way to the bank if we let them.

Draw the line.

One game, one sale.

I support this post and am very disapointed in Bioware for this clear money grab.  I've been a BW fan for a long time (hello, BG1) and I consider this move to be unethical.  I hope they recant on this prior to launch since it would be very disapointing if I had to cancel my pre-order.
