Prothean is not required to beat said Reapers in otherwords you are being a conspiracy nut and the game is complete.  I don't think they would have done the space editions of the game if it wasn't complete.

Developers lie? Unlike consumers who are trying to get content they haven't paid for?

what content we havent paid for ? who says we havent paid for that already ? oh rigth the developers....the ones that gives us sweeties with lies and we take them easy without even questioning, like the tale of the dont trust strangers.

This is rubbish, you can also complete any mass effect game with only two squadmates. The important thing about prothy is that he's a prothean, that's the issue, nobody would be making this fuss if it was another Zaeed or Kasumi.

That's not Bobsmith's argument. He thinks the game is incomplete, so MegaCeridan's post is not rubbish

yeah the game is complete cause its already on the Go to the market.. that doesnt really make it complete please stop justifying.

My point is that they are giving everyone a chance to enjoy it even if they couldn't get the full collector's edition.

They can , but their telling you if you got the SE.You get a chance to download the character , so your not screwed out of the content altogether.

The game is complete without him though.  There's nothing in the game that is affected with him not being there, nor was he removed during development of the actual game.

Again, whether you feel he should be more involved or not or included in the main game doesn't matter because it isn't so.  The game was built without him, so it is complete.  If he wasn't offered at all, you wouldn't have missed him.

So you can reason with your personal feelings about the character not being in the main game, but that's you just reasoning with your personal feelings and opinion, not facts.

Well the producers of ME3 promised me additional content for buying a CE, so they haven't lied to me at all. It sounds like you're lying to yourself if you think the prothy was intended to be free for SE consumer. But hey that's not my problem.

Thanks for the explanation, but still. This DLC schemes that involve exclusivity play with people's psyche in a nasty way. Who doesn't want to have such a great game complete? If each and every of the pre-order bonuses would at least become regularly available after some time, it wouldn't be as bad. But it is, just as bad as the sub-conscious tricks of advertising. Of course, and as with all DRM schemes, only legitimate customers will be affected by these restrictions in the end.

I for one opt-out of this madness by purchasing only the cheapest, regular version and getting over the nagging "missing out"-feeling by enjoying the game as I get it. In multi-player, skill and training counts more than gimmicks anyway ;-p

Very true I predict though when the damage is done they probably make it free, when there is other DLC's out, yes it's predictive programing, psyops, and subminal messages that truly do mess with the brain, and psyche and the backlash from the consumer can get pretty bad.

The script that was leaked from Microsoft's blunder is accuarte to what we've been shown thus far, so it's a valid source to use as evidence.  And it shows that he is not vital to Mass Effect 3 in any way, shape, or form.

Ok. CE was announced to have access to a bonus Character + mission. Does that paid for said version paid for it.

Later on, Bioware announced that the Bonus character+mission would be available to SE buyers as a DLC.

If you bougth the CE/DDE version then you paid for said content, if you bougth the SE version, you did NOT pay for said version.
