I had left that out because I'll be getting it with my CE, but yes it's a better way to go for those who are getting the SE, the DLC is not essential to the game but is essential to EA/Bioware's profits, so people can still attack them without ruining their enjoyment of the last game.

I have not once namecalled or whined in thread - and the only reason I am complaining is that I truly disagree with what EA is doing here.

Thanks, you've proved my point. Everybody is whining about something, but nobody, nobody has put together, I don't know, a mass form letter to send to Bioware or maybe an online petition to attract the attention of the higher ups, instead posting youtube videos with the same idiotic points and saying, "I want it because they get it" or "We already paid for it". Quite frankly, since there has been no point to thisthread at all because nothing substantial has been done to solve it, I can say whatever I want about what is posted here and have it be just about as topical.

Costed? Really? Kasumi and her mission were $7. Also, 628MB does not make an expansion. The core game will be roughly 10 GB or even a little more. I have almost 18 GB installed on my HD for ME2 with LotSB, Arrival, Overlord, and Stolen Memory installed (each roughly the size of this download, give or take). The guy won't be integral to the main plot of the game which is about killing Reapers, not finding out more about the Protheans. It's optional.

The Prothean DLC character is really cool, but not at all critical to the main story. #ME3 centers on the Reapers, not the Protheans.

You DO know that there's more than the Prothean with that DLC? 

To be honest, I think people are more angry about the notion of DLC in gaming to begin with. Some complain about a lot of DLC aren't really relevant of shaking things up as far as how you feel about a game or extending it.

Some complain that do all you can for a game and everything that didn't make it should be just eliminated and only heard about in documentaries of what could have been (which I think is not smart in today's businesss). Look what happened when From Software thought about DLC much after the game. Customers can really make a difference. So, if you voice your opinions by all means do it. But do it smartly.

Some of you are hypocrites based on the fact how Bioware has done Collector Editions before and their current slow unveiling of the Prothean DLC, some of it being leaked.  They said for SOME time they would have an exclusive character and mission for the Collector's Edition. They Delivered with an AWESOME one at that. It's one of the reasons why you bought the CEin the first place (in addition to the other goodies). And you're mad that it's so good now that it's revealed that it should be in the SE period? I think that logic fails. 

Mind you, this is the last game of the trilogy; thus it's only fair that a great deal of content that is exciting in anyway that is exclusive be really awesome. 

Not EVERYONE had that logic to why they think this is wrong, but a HUGE deal have which is flawed beyond being saved. 

I wholeheartedly agree. Not to mention there's also a DLC gun (the picture of which released by GameStop today and put up in this thread and another thread on here) looks SWEET! Plus additional armor sets for all squadmates. Even the people who are paying $10 for this are getting more than just a Prothean and a mission.

I'm so happy I got my CE early now. Exclusive guns and armors for squaddies from the CE, robo dog, N7 hoodie, Prothy and Eden Prime, more armors for squaddies and a sweet gun that fires a green laser beam it looks like. Bring it on. Can't wait for March 6th.

Read the entire thread and you'll see me posting the proof multiple times as well as several others. If you won't look it up yourself; if you don't look up the facts and have real counterpoints besides "They're wrong because I say so", which is really how you're coming off, then don't expect anyone to consider your opinion as anything more than invalid.

It is very naive to automatically accept that a company always tells the truth, but it is equally naive to believe that a company is trying to screw you based on nothing beyond the fact that you do not like something regardless of it's legitimacy.

I sent him probably the most direct source I could without getting myself in any trouble.  If he can't accept that, than he is just wasting everyone's time.

Agreed.  It was never designated as an exclusive, just included.  Nothing said excluded its availability to anyone else.

Anyone that owns Mass Effect 2 and then add ALL the DLC its a completely different game . Its HUGE! more Armor more wepons , enemies ,XPoints. Its a whole new experience than the vinilla version.I wish all fans had the chance to play the FULL version of ME 2 with out paying over 100 dollars for the game. This is what you can expect with ME 3, een more DLC because its the last of the story so they will milk it to death. Bioware creates the game to give it to fans in parts and i cant stand it . Its to expensive . Just release a full expansion pack and make it much more palatable for the costomer.

Exclusive, Bonus, Whatever. It was announced MONTHS ago to be in the Collector's Edition and not the SE and I think it sounds like people think it's too good to be in the  Collector's Edition only  and not in all versions of the game.

By that "logic" you could assume that just about anything else listed on the CE features is included for everyone.

No....The "Additional Squad Mate and Mission" was originally planned to be CE Exclusive. Everyone seems to have forgotten that.

That content together would cost a lot as a single expansion pack though.  The alt. outfits and weapons were overpriced, but it still stands that the DLC was handled well in ME2.

And of course adding something will change the game, because now you have a new component that will add an extra hour or so with maybe some new insights.

But the vanilla version is a complete and full experience as is.  DLC is additional content that is additional.  If you can't afford it, wait until you can or just don't buy it.
