My understanding was that he was removed because the game would have turned into Prothy's story rather than the conclusion of Shepard's story. Had he not been put into a DLC, Prothy wouldn't have been in the new script/version period.

BioWare could just give him a less prominent role, not completely cast him aside from the main plot.

Ninja, I recommend you buy a copy of ME3 on every paycheck you get to make up for all those not buying it. I didn't say not playing it, I said not buying it. Do that for a few years, maybe it will save the "company" from going under. Getting ripped off by big companies is an option many people decide not to take. You don't, good for you, but quit your bashing on others.

Why so uppedy all of a sudden? All I asked about was the key in the box.. which you didn't have apparently.

And as far as I'm concerned, the key in the box is my problem not yours.  If I was a pirate, would I be coming on here ****ing about something that I could get with little effort for free, days before the game even gets released?  Think about it....

Like I said... That's how cheap some people are and these people should be called out for it because they're hypocritical cheap bastards who have absolutely no say in the matter at all.

Just a quick question....are you 12?  Since you have 12 in your username.  That would explain your logic.

Uuum are you unable to Google?

The 12 stands for 1200CC

I went through similar crap over DA2, ya gotta be badge wearing to be legit, it's not only the gaming companies that promote "guilty before innocent".

Was that so hard todo? You could've put that up much sooner.

So are you going to apologize for being a little weirdo?  If I wanted to pirate this game, I wouldn't care how much they charged.  Free is free.

No, all I did was question your legitamicy, you could've explained it normaly without the name calling. You brought it up on yourself. Are you going to apologize?

Can't we all just get along?  For the old people and kids.

Or they could not. Why would they do that.. just so you can have a Prothean in the story?

And again, this is all coulda, shoulda, didnt's.  It's irrelevent to how the game is actually written.  We could have asked the same question about Cerberus in ME1 (which had a more prominent role) or why the Rachni weren't in ME2 outside of a few lines of dialogue, both very important to the ME universe.

Yeah, I went through something similar once, as well. I commented on something about DA2 before it's release and at the time didn't have my DAO registered. I got quite a nasty PM saying I needed to stfu because I obviously didn't have the game and therefore, had no right to comment. Posted Image

How is that at all relevant to the topic? If you want to talk about other things, why not take it to PM?

Back on topic, and because I have not said this yet: I'm rather looking forward to this DLC. "Important" character or not.

Ugh, Ravagers.  I hate turrets already,  but now we have walking ones that explode with suicide bomber bugs?  Nope. Nope. Nope.

Because typically in the entertainment industry, as costs rise so do the prices.  Go and compare prices for professional sporting events since 2005.  Movies, theater, restaurants, etc., etc., etc.  Yet games have remained constant at $60.  Would you rather pay $60 with optional DLC or $80-100 for the game on release day.

I still don't see how you can factor out the amount of sales just like that, expecially with digital distribution like steam, as there's no packaging cost involved. And I don't think you can compare the game industry with other industries so easily.

Agreed.  It'll be interesting to compare Eden Prime circa 2007 to what it looks like now.  Although it's slanted without film grain in ME3....

It's part of how Bioware's spin control works.  A few guys that post here have long been suspected of being plants EA uses to turn gamers against each other rather than risk them uniting against Bioware/EA.  It's just another form of PR.

I would think it would have something to do with computer programming and systems changing over the years.

Sounds more like a dropped plot from Deception.

And by that I mean it's kind of insane.

Didn't Casey Hudson himself state the DLC comes free with the CE? You paid more for it only because of the swag?
