She states STRAIGHT from the start that she's aware that her position as a Bioware employee means people likely are going to take anything she says with a grain of salt! That alone makes her far more trustworthy, because she knows the typical reaction to anything she says will be like what you've demonstrated.
How does admitting she's bias make her more likly to tell the truth? It's a typical PR line that you've fallen for hook line and sinker. The only way any of this will be known for sure is if Bioware comes clean w/ a full definitve run down of what the DLC contains (this they will never do b/c if ppl knew the full content of DLC they rarely buy it) or we wait until release and see for ourselves.
This is the part that bothers me. Regardless of the truthfullness of either side, putting day 1 payed dlc will hurt overall sales. All the drama this has drummed up can only lead to more ppl pirating, buying used, renting, waiting for a sale, not buying on day 1 to see how it plays out, or just plain not buying.
I don't undertand how bioware/ea thought this wouldn't turn into what it has become. Why didn't they delay the dlc even by a week or two? Seems like a stupid decision regardless of the reality behind the content.
A PR line. I doubt it. Her only admission is that she's an employee of Bioware. That doesn't make her biased. I wasn't aware working for a company made her intentionally biased. Besides, the only things she was allowed to discuss were those things that DIDN'T result in spoilers, again, as she states.
Also, of course they won't tell us what's in the DLC. For starters, companies wouldn't give out such spoilers. Secondly, even if they told us, I'm fairly certain people would STILL disbelieve them.
And as for the timing of the DLC, you realize what would happen if they delayed it right?
I'll put it down here so people can't miss it:
1) Bioware finishes "From Ashes"
2) CE buyers pick up their copy of ME3, which will contain a code for "From Ashes" as it was promised to them as a part of their purchase of the CE
3) They delay "From Ashes" for everyone else who did NOT buy the CE
4) A week or two later, those with the SE get "From Ashes"
That would've been infinitely WORSE publicity.
