He'll yell "Domo Arigoto" to Legion while Living on a Prayer, carrying some Drops of Jupiter and thinking he can be a Prince of the Universe, singing, "Don't Stop Me Now" because, let's face it, it's been A Hard Day's Night.
Because we all know Shep is a Superbeast who will make them feel the Strong Arm of the Law, but while The Mob Rules, she'll Reach Out to her True Companion (Liara) by Taking a Ride on some Heavy Metal and Leave You Far Behind.
So, you still on the Third Stone from the Sun, becasue War is about to leave you Swamped with the Subterrainian Homesick Blues.
And Shep'll see a Bad Moon Rising, so he'll consider himself a Fortunate Son as he heads to the sun Down on the Corner of the nebula, and he Heard Through the Grapevine that a Turian who was Born on the Bayou would lend assistance. On the way, Shep sees Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, charging the problems because he's a Mighty Mighty Man, and coming out, merely remarking, "We Are The Champions". As he slips into his Pumped Up Kicks, he'll think, "I Gotta Feelin'" and will add another E.T. to his party. Of course, he's made sure his ship is well-calibrated so it doesn't Jingle-Jangle-Jingle on its way to the Blue Moon. As it takes time to get anywhere, he'll retire to his quarrters, only telling his future wife, Liara, that she "Shook (him) All Night Long" and smiling.

No worries... your no view one way or the other is actually the same feeling most casual fans have about this as well.GriffithVoltaire wrote...
Yeah the same thing happened to a friend of mine with the Gamestop I used to go to, long story short... They tried to tell him he didn't pre-order a game when he had evidence that he had been in every couple weeks prior to put money down on it. It made me shy away from that Gamestop and rely more on one that had been around for a lot longer along with Amazon.
Also, sorry for being off-topic folks, just was lurking and have no real view one way or the other on this whole thing.
Not saying you are either a casual fan or hard core fan... was just stating is all.. lol
No offense taken in it, I kind of like to think of myself as somewhere inbetween the two.
As for my non-view of this, it mostly comes from my seeing both sides of the argument and not fully agreeing with one side or the other. I don't really begrudge Bioware or EA for doing this even if I personally don't like. Nor do I feel that I, having bought the CE entitles me to feeling like I have superiority over those whom will have to shell out the money to buy this content (where it it sticks to it's current price point or not is irrelivent in my stance on this). Heck, there are plenty of games I beat that did have DLC that I never bought because it didn't appeal to me like AC II.
Ah, Assassin's Creed II. The DLC for that game was far more critical to the story than the Prothean is likely to be. In fact it contained exposition that explained what Ezio was doing for the period between sequence 11 and sequence 14.

Can we now actually talk about the DLC, what is in it, the new weapon, screenshots, etc?

Mass Effect 3 is a complete – and a huge game - right out of the box.
How can it be a complete game when content many people would argue could be absolutely vital to the lore has been excluded from the game, in favor of 0-day DLC?
It's a disgusting and short-sighted business strategy, and it's going to backlash against you in the long term.
PS: Also get rid of those damned bioware points. It's cumbersome as hell.
PPS: Where the hell has the support for Mass Effect 1 gone? Where is my key and why doesn't the download links for the DLC work anymore? Is this what is to become of all the Bioware games from now on, and if so, why would anyone be interested in buying the DLC in the first place? Pirates have the most user friendly and complete versions of the games while paying customers suffer.

Because even if you didn't have this dlc, you would still have for the mere $60 price tag, a AAA quality game that will give HUNDREDS of hours of entertainment! By far one of the best values not only in video gaming, but in entertainment across the board!Spherexius wrote...

Which is why I didn't support it. I'm willing to give this DLC a chance and if it ends up giving me the same vibe as AC II's DLC did then I won't purchase anymore DLC and possibly games from Bioware and that'll be the end of that.
But that's just how I see it for me, to each their own, you know?

How can many argue that it's vital to the game when they don't have the game yet? It's like saying: "I need things because of stuff". You have no basis for a valid argument.

So, would be recruits Are You Experianced? Because Earth could be gone in a Flash (aaahh!) and Who Wants to Live Forever as a slave to a Space Oddity? So Shoot to Thrill and leave the Reapers Thunderstruck. Sgt Mckenzie here will ensure you make them Run to the Hills in some Poetic Justice like a Seven Nation Army was on thier heels.
Earth will never run up the White Flag. We're all Heroes who are Going the Distance, and even if I Stand Alone on a Highway to Hell, we'll show them For Whom the Bell Tolls.

So to make an example, if George Lucas had made the scenes with Boba Fett in the original Star Wars trilogy exclusive to the people who had already paid for first-class tickets (let's say such a thing could exist) or an additional $10. Would that be okay, simply based on the arguement that there would still be plenty of the high-quality movie left?
There would still be a major piece of the puzzle missing.
This is a blatant cash-grab from EA's side, it's consumer unfriendly and it lays the precedence for consumers to get exploited even worse in the future. It's not ****ing okay.

I'm also interested in how the new character has been implemented, as in if it'll be a Zaeed/Kasumi in that they only have a few lines to say when you're on the ship in their quarters, or if they're more thoroughly integrated into the game like the core characters and you can actually have conversations with them.
Yes, the Collector's Edition will include a code that allows you to redeem the full The Ashes DLC free of additional charge.Bismth wrote...

Wrong. Boba Fett was how Han got to Tatooine, so he was vital to the plot progession of the films.
It may be a cash grab, but the Prothean's only importance is to the fan's, not to ME3. That is what has been established and proven for last 100-200 pages. We spend the last 100 clarifying that distinction.

I hate to say this, but the average AAA game usually only gives me 20-60 hours of entertainment. I tend to burn out games fast, only fighting games seem to have the endurance to keep me entertained for more then s few dozen hours.

Not a good analogy, as Boba Fett is essential to the plot... the Prothean is not.Spherexius wrote...

Also, this would be more akin to a dvd/blu ray release of a movie. One an extended edition and the other the theatrical version. The extended edition costs more and has more content than the theatrical version.

I have 7 complete play throughs carried from ME1 all through ME2 and ready to take on ME3.. and I know for a fact that once I've done all of that, I will take a fresh new character and start from ME1 straight through ME3 again!BaronIveagh wrote...
