Actually it wasn't even close to a godwin.  To have qualified, I would have had to been the first one to mention Hitler.  But since it was in response to an post suggesting that I would insinuate that Bioware = Hitler, it doesn't qualify as a Godwin, as it was used to put the earlier, near godwin, post in context. 

However, you're right, let's leave the book burners in the dust of history, shall we?

No... I meant knee.  We all know Garrus was fully capable of doing his calibrations after the missle to his face already.  lol

Oh, no. I recognize it wasn't a Godwin. But all it takes is someone with an itchy "Hitler" finger to turn the comparison sour. And on the internet, that could be anyone.

I don't know.  Maybe it will help sales or maybe it won't.  They didn't receive the numbers they wanted with ME2 initially, and I know EA and BioWare were hoping for a sizable increase in their player base and sales with the inclusion of multiplayer, refinement of the combat system, and the return of certain RPG elements.  However, we haven't heard any solid, reliable numbers for global pre-orders, so we really can only estimate about maybe a bit over 2 million tops in preorders, and an additional million in one week sales.  However, Skyrim impressed me with its 10 million, so we'll just have to see.

 

Maybe more warning would have help but  Rocksteady and WB  have better relations with the fans at this point then Bioware.  I don't think this would flown well 2 months before or 2 weeks just because who  is doing it.

On the Skyrim  front... god damnit they make so hard for me to like them at times... I'm out in Skyrim ... just have a merry ole time. Save my game and when I load the next day  my character descide he wanted to learn and to   dubsteep and Dragons start  moonwalking/flying .

I believe that half a dozen more mentions of Godwin creates a Godwin out of the ether surrounding the thread.

At least that's my understanding about such things.

what does him  saying that have to with them cancelling the pre-order...  the damage is done...they people are not  going to come back just because he makes a statement..
Most will probrably say... " Yeah whatever" and move on.

Nothing , other than the fact he's saying everthing is resolved without Mr.P being their which alot of people have been complaining about.

Sorry but this thread has been Godwinned before you got here. Several hundred pages back in fact, where they compared Bioware and EA to the **** party.

So I guess the game got a 90/100 in a German magazine, PS3 version. Since the DLC wasn't included, I guess that's where the 10 point deduction factors in.

That's assuming everyone who PRE-ORDER CANCELLED!!! actually did do that. Which I doubt. Sure there may be some but not that many.

Actually to qualify for Godwin you have to make a comparison involving N**is or Hitler, and I think we already had one when somebody quoted this statement by Martin Niemöller, where BioWare/EA is clearly supposed to be the SS... It was pretty stealthy (and maybe the person who did it wasn't aware of the context of that particular quote - although I can't see how that's even possible) and if it wasn't a Godwin, it was pretty close nonetheless. And even if not, it was still blown out of proportions and really dodgy comparison.
