You don't have the right to get it for free regardless. They have the right to supply the products "they" created the way they wish to providing breaks no laws. Just because you 'want it' does not entitle you to have it. Business cares about money because it keeps people employed, it creates new jobs and new products thats where this crap about greed falls flat. If you are offered a pay rise in your current job, you would not turn it down just because you 'can' live without it or is not needed and if you say you would I will call you a liar. Calling them greedy only makes you a hypocrite because your also coming from the stance of greed, wanting more for less. They are not cheating anyone out of money because you are not forced to buy the products they create.

You are absolutly right bioware/ea have can do whatever they want.  I have never said otherwise or even mentioned that I demanded to have the dlc for free.  Personally, I think greed is a positive driving force, but only if it goes both ways. Both the consumer and the developer/publisher should be trying to get the best for themselves.

My point is that they do not need ppl to defend them and if the ppl who are defending them are planing on buying the game they are shooting themselves in the foot.  By all mean be greedy and try and get as much out of your investment as possible.

Those of us defending Bioware, do so because of the tremendous value to the dollar the entire mass effect series is, top to bottom.

When you have such a high quality product for such great value, you tend to have people support their efforts to get said product to market.

Not much you can find out across the entertainment industry in general that can compete time invested to dollar spent.

If that value wasn't there, and this was a cheap piece of crap product like most of the rest of the gaming industry...then decided to do day 1 dlc...we'd be railing against it with the rest. The difference here, this isn't a cheap piece of crap, and if you get the dlc or not, the end product is amazing and rich and more than worth the price paid.

I am not against day 1 dlc in principle, I am only against exploitation of said dlc looked at in a case by case basis. Imo, there is nothing being exploited here since this is additional side content advertised since day 1. Bioware was always upfront that there was an extra squad member and mission for the CE from day one.

I for one will happily buy the next DA game. As for Bioware being in a steep decline - seriously, how do you know that? Are you talking about a financial decline or some other decline? Because far as I can tell, the company is doing pretty well, this whole s***storm aside.

For your information, I'm probably thinking more clearly and coherently about this issue than you are, and without calling other people names. At least I'm taking the time to carefully consider both sides and make my own decision, instead of angrily defending an issue. The least you could do is attempt to speak civily to the people on these forums, but consider that this is BSN, maybe that's something I shouldn't be expecting. There is nothing wrong in not buying a game (any game). Free will and choice. Your "lot" will leave, makes no difference if preorders go by a "lot" more joined  than threatened to leave. As long as that trend continues from a business stand point it's good for them. Like I said I respect their right to produce and distribute their products how they see fit as long as breaks no laws as I respect peoples choices to not buy aforementioned products. If you make a product you are free to create it the way you wish and distribute it how you desire. I will defend your right to do so too. 

The people talking about greed are hypocrites however. They want it free or even they want the content included is also greed.

Its true though. The quote you put was about the description of the CE's contents, months and months ago. It was a mistake - it was meant to say 'additional character', not Prothean character'.

He never directly states that the Prothean is no longer in the game. He hints at it, perhaps to prevent it being spoiled or perhaps because they didn't know it would be ready in time (the release date had yet to be pushed back).

And I don't get how you think this quote from months and months ago backs up your statement that they have 'lied to us a lot lately'.

I might point out that, regaurdles of my own feelings on the subject, you're incorrect.  The 'vocal minority' can have a powerful effect on the majority, and there have been occasions that repetition has, in fact, worked.  I'd site an example, but I don't want to Godwin the thread.

And it is hardly a 'vocal minority' Everyone apart from the Biodrones were disgusted with that steaming pile of dog turd which was DA2, the BSN is very small, and the Biodrones on here are a pathetic number in overall sales. BIOWARE IN STEEP DECLINE.

Ok, I'm curious, how am I a hypocrite here?  I have not said that anyone should get anything free, only that greed blinded them to making a bad PR decision.  To generate good PR, they need to do something, giving it away might work, but I'm not holding my breath on that.

Sorry to burst your hyperbole bubble but you have no evidence at all suggesting that those in favor of this DLC are a small minority however switching sides there is larger evidence to suggest more people are buying ME3 than past two titles. You may be leaving the franchise and spending youre money elsewhere but quite honestly it appears with regards to ME3 more new fans are being created than lost.

You do realise he was talking about the text. Because litterally a few days later they changed it from Prothean/Mission DLC into Character/Mission DLC.

Unless you thought someone saying that's old text it's getting removed, then a few days later the new text says the same thing with one word changed means that it's totally not the prothean, you're an idiot.

lol i am no Biodrone i am a fan of most of there games DA2 and its story DLC is much much better than alot of you Hater Drones say not as quality as origins but still an overall good game stop being immature and attacking people over extra paid content that is a main factor in the collectors edition they have to charge for it to the SE bioware in steep decline? just lol

My one strong feeling on this issue is that it's going to be very inconvenient to get all the story DLC. I'd prefer Bioware just finished the game, released it all together, and charged me whatever they would have in total anyway.
