Unfortunetly, while we can't say for certain that they're lying, we also have no reason to belive them either at this point, however. There has been too much abuse of trust from Bioware.
If he is in the main game, though, and only avalible as a squadmate via DLC, frankly I see it being a PR ****storm at this point.
If you have ever tried to debate with religous folks it's very similiar. You can beat them over the head with a 365 million year old rock and they will still maintain the earth is 10.000 years old.

Here's my issue with my fellow opposers. Public refusal to acknowledge facts present, dismissing any additional information provided, using personal assumptions and emotional bearings as facts, calling anyone that either tries to make a correction to your argument or that disagrees with you a biodrone or sheep...that isn't selling our argument against this thing.
All we have really to go on is a) the situation was handled poorly, as is very apparent andpast behavior of EA in relations to BioWare.
The only present itemsd, outside of what BioWare and Microsoft provided, we have are the audio files and the script. The audio files only indicate VO work was done during development like Kasumi and only SurKesh banter was included. The script indicates he isn't in the main game, yet Merizan "hinted" that he is. As such, while the majority of the evidence points that he was never in the game and isn't, we can't be 100% sure that he is or not. We just know that the content in the DLC wouldn't have been in the main game.
This isn't a personal attack on anyone. I know most are hoping for the best case scenerio with this situation, and just are trying to be realistic on the potential consequences. I'm just saying that a lot of arguments on here need to have a change in tact and content if they want to sell their argument.

Yet this is exactly how it feels from the other side towards the boycott crowd. Works both ways.

I love how some of you stoop to name calling to make yourselves feel better. Fact of the matter is. No. You're not getting the DLC for free. You'll have to pay for it just like everyone else. Sorry to burst your hopeful little bubbles but screaming bloody murder at Bioware will do nothing. Hell, they are probably laughing it up at their HQ over this thread. In my honest opinion it should of been kept to the CE. Then I would of been the one laughing.

You are half right.
They care about making money, but the Kasumi content was incomplete by the time the game launched, so it got re-tooled. If this was a generation ago they would never have released it since the date was likely finalized for a long time.
As for the current issue, I have posed a simple question I only got one possible answer for, and that is if this was planned DLC, doesn't it make sense to have some of the characters assets in the main game since, you know, its not restricted to use it in the main game at all since it is a squadmember? So the voice files found would reflect that, while the actual mission he is found on is being made, or being finished by the day one launch.
A friend of mine who does coding said its similar to datamining, where they would keep elements of the character into the main games code so that when the DLC is downloaded, it can synch up with the game without causing major bugs. He suspects that this was all intentional, and that if it was always planned to be DLC then it makes sense from that standpoint.
He also said it could have been cut content, as well, the only way to find out is to actually see the production notes and titles and see the progression of the game being made. Other than that answer though, my only question is really if that is the case here now?
Your friend is correct. That was all I found when I dove into the files, and the production notes are present (script has production notes anyways). The multiple scripts also are very telling, especially when you line them up with the dev commentary we've gotten through twitter and interviews. VO work and indicators are in place, but nothing else.
And sharpshoot, it wasn't cut from the main game. Let's not set this thread back another 50 pages again.

Not doubtful at all. And no not just because of opional DLC, DAY 1 ESSENTIAL DLC. But this is just the latest in the long line of how Bioware have treated its fans badly. Sorry to burst your hyperbole bubble but you have no evidence at all suggesting that those in favor of this DLC are a small minority however switching sides there is larger evidence to suggest more people are buying ME3 than past two titles. You may be leaving the franchise and spending youre money elsewhere but quite honestly it appears with regards to ME3 more new fans are being created than lost.
Doubtful.
But if it did happen, it won't be because of optional DLC.

You just said "giving it away", that is greed. Giving it away means for free there is no other way to give it away.
Why should they give it away just because you want it? EA do not need a PR stunt to win over those who are boycotting because like mentioned the amount of preorders 'seems' to be vastly higher than previous titles.
For what negative effect this might have had on some they also had good PR from their launching space copies.
It goes both ways always. No company will ever have only good PR. The only thing that matters to business is whether they are getting an increase in sales or decrease. As it stands right now it is positive for them because it appears their numbers increased compared to previous titles as opposed to decrease.

If supporting a company because I have immensly enjoyed their products for the past 15 years makes me a Biodrone, then Biodrone I am.
You copied some random post so what do you want me to do with it agree that it wasnt reaped out of the game?(because even data mining the complete game may not show that) not sure what you want though.LinksOcarina wrote...
