Once again you have no proof if the content was taken out of the game. CE content needed to be create as soon as the core of the game was done. Core mean being able to play and complete the game. You don't need to have texture/sound/cinematic/animation and all that ready yet to start building DLC with a team.

The fact completed game content exists outside the game on release means it should be in the game. Therefore, it should be part of the core game or included in the package of a new release.

The reason for this is explained in the art book. They did not know how they wanted the protheans to look at the start of ME - so they made a sort of vague set of creatures. As they moved into ME2, etc they began to flesh out the protheans look and arrived at what we have for ME3.

Damn! I preferred the original look though

They can do that too if they want to, the likely hood of people paying for it is unlikely but again there is nothing ethcialy or legaly stopping them from doing so regardles of how much people seem to think there is.

Good Lord folks, I got 4 pages into this thread, and while I understand some of y'all are pretty damn upset about this, it simply stupefies me that this is the bad news that is consuming and ruining your day! Someone was talking about how $60 is a standard when it comes to new video games. Personally, from the countless hours of entertainment the Mass Effect games have given me I would gladly give $80 for the Standard Edition.

Essentially, if y'all have all this time to get your panties in a bunch, throw a fit about something that actually impacts the world. Like rising gas prices. Or the Syrian crisis. Or world hunger. Or why the HELL I have to pay 13 bucks for a beer in New York when the same beer is $2.50 in Texas!! Little off topic, but it seems like this has turned into a venting forum, so I threw in my two cents. I can barely hold in my excitement for 6 March!

If you've noticed, none of the CE people are ticked off that it's available to others for a price.  However, if it was suddenly made free...nah, it wouldn't bother me too much more, though I don't think the rest of the items in the CE are worth $20 by themselves.

The art book alone could be worth that much, and no, as a CE purchaser myself, I'd have no problems with the standard getting the prothean squad member free now, not because I believe they deserve it, but because right now my confidence in Biowares business practice is totally shaken and this would go a long way to restoring confidence, of course the selfish won't go along with this, they are not concerned about the future only the here and now.

they could if they wanted to, but no one would pay for that because Gravy does not have a value of near that much in relation to what it is. There is nothing ethicaly or legaly stopping them from doing so

What if you saw them scrape the gravy off beforehand.

They already do that 

If you actualy saw them remove it then charge you for it that would be a valid complaint then, however is not the case here because no one has actualy seen bioware remove anything or has any actual proof beyond speculation that anything like that was done.

I really want people to understand what's going on. If you do not believe that, you are fooling yourself and I mean that in the least offensive way I possibly could. We all fool ourselves every now and then, and sometimes we run into something we enjoy so much that we just want to pretend there's nothing wrong, but trust me EA's head honcho's and shareholders are laughing themselves all the way to the bank if we let them.

Anyone who doubts need only study the way EA has handled and destroyed The Sims franchise. When Maxis handled the franchise and produced TS2, the made quality games and quality expansions and stuff packs that for the most part ran pretty flawlessy with each other. The stuff packs were packed with new items to use in decorating and the game had real appeal. Then Maxis sold out to EA and The Sims 3 was made. It has enormous potential, but EA's version has expansions that are only tested with the base game, not the base and any other expansions meaning that each expansion adds more and more bugs into the system as it clashes with other EPs. The so-called patches often don't fix many of the existing issues but have been known to be used to introduce new features under the radar like in-game advertising for the EA store where over-priced items are hawked for EA points. These items are things that Maxis would formerly have put in a stuff pack, and while EA still sells stuff packs, you get less in them than you should for what you pay. What EA really wants if for you to spend in their store where you can easily wind up blowing way too money too quickly.

If you think that $10 dollars for a DLC is too much, consider this - they are selling a single baby swing item from the EA store for $5.  Yep, ONE. SINGLE. ITEM.

This is the future of gaming as far as EA is concerned. They're going to hit you up for as may microtransactions as possible, and it's only a matter of time before they find an extreme level of ridiculousness here too.

They arent because the hanar could worship anything and it wouldnt change the plot of the series

But they worship the Protheans not 'anything', humans could shoot lightbeams out of their arse if Biowarse said they could but they don't.
