I honestly feel bad for CDPRed because there is no longer an incentive to buy their game new for me. I'm not the richest person, so I do have to budget my video game expenses according to what I can afford. And I don't think Witcher 2 will still be 60$ in 6-10 month so there's no reason to even buy the game new.

I really like how they're trying to appeal to new gamers, but I don't think they made a smart business descision Posted Image.

Do yourself a favor and get it at some point.  It's an awesome game.

Back on topic - YAY DLC!

Yeah I've wanted to play it for like a year, but patience is a virtue that pays off in the end. I've waited this long, because I lack a gaming CPU, I can wait a bit longer.

The biggest scum out there are corporations supporting those tactics, like EA.  There's nothing wrong with pirating.  Most pirates wouldn't even bother to buy the game in the first place.
So go screw yourself before you make statements like that.  Most pirates do it because they got tired of getting ripped off.

Bull****. That's an awful excuse. Stop trying to make your self-intitlement issues seem like you're on some moral highground.

Makes you an idiot. Boycotting something based on principles then showing you have none in first place.

Why exactly? If the purpose of the boycott is to intentionally hurt the publisher, they've just done that by pirating if otherwise they would've bought it. Though, I have a feeling that all this "I BOYCOTT U" rage is just a pitiful way to rationalize pirating while most of them never had the intention of actually buying the game. With respect to the exceptions.

1. Pirating is stealing.  No way of justifying it.  Just because Apple sells their Macs at an outrageous price doesn't mean it's right that you steal it when a clerk conveniently leaves the back door open for you to take one or more at your leisure.

2. Pirating just proves EA is right, and that these DRMs are needed to be more restrictive as customers are pirating the game instead of buying.  If no one downloads the torrents, then EA can't prove that people are pirating the product (downloading the pirated material, same difference) and can't make an excuse to keep pushing products like Origin upon us.  By pirating, you're just furthering/becoming a part of the problem.

Straight up boycotting denies EA not only the money from the product you would have bought, but also doesn't give them reasonable ground to continue to push their absurd practices.

You have legal actions that work and are more effective against EA at your disposal, both in game sales and Origin.  Piracy is just an excuse to not pay for the service of other's hard work.

GTFO.

Games are a hobby, you do not have the right to steal a copy of another persons work just because you think you should be paying less, you are not entitled to their product.

Pirating is acceptable in exactly 2 circumstances. When the game is banned in your country, and when the game's publisher is no longer selling copies of the game.

This is neither.

The game is amazing especially in the way they handle branching on a level Bioware has not as of yet.

I own the PC version already so no need for a 360 copy myself, but I pre-ordered the Dark Edition for a friend.

No, you are breaking the law, silly. You just think you're above the law so breaking it is cool.

I've broken laws myself from time to time, but I'm honest about what I've done.

Oh yeah...I'm sorry...the law... the ****ing law.
How sily of me....why didn't I think of that

Just like a guy making millions and paying 13% income tax?
Oh or how about US soldier caught committing masacres in Iraq and then getting a....wait for it...honorable discharge.  Or how about congressman using public money for escorts.....
Oh and EA is breaking no laws when they are ripping off people with impunity...thats right, they are just using loopholes and stupidity of its customers.

I'm not breaking the law, the law is broke to begin with, you stupid sob.

There is not a .gif large enough to tell you exactly what many people are saying. Rhymes with "No puck orshelf".

You feel society's broken? Fine. You're also contributing to how broken society is under your definition.

What is wrong with you?

You and Obie are definitely lucky you got to play the PC version.

I'm going to have to build myself one soon, because I'm not buying anymore consoles after this generation.

But back on topic. Yay DLC and nerd rage Rawr!

That makes you just as bad as those you just listed!

I wouldn't be surprised if anyone have asked if the Prothean squadmate is an LI.

Most people are not anti-dlc, they are just irritated by bad marketing. If you want to make it a car analogy..
You go the store, and there are two versions of a same car:normal N and more expensive X one.Salesman tells you, that the second one is positioned as more fashionable/representative, with cosmetic and additional features, like gold spoilers or integrated 3d stereo system,or whatever. When you pick normal one in the end, make a deal and purchase, and finally sit in your new N car you hear: "Oh, one more thing- there is something broken in your car.But for a fee we can find and fix it for you.Don't worry, it's really minor, you could still drive it.And btw,all our X models are already gone through extensive testing and were fixed where needed".There is choice after that, but you are kinda screwed anyway, because best option - buy X model, is unavailable, they are all sold out.

I'm not saying i feel this way, but if i knew the CE had prothean when i was making a purchase, I wouldn't thought twice about bying it. Now I'm stuck with normal version, and probably will buy dlc if reviews will be good enough. Will I preorder next EA/Bioware game?Probably not.

Bioware would have been better off making Hanar or Volus squadmate for CE and day-1 dlc, really, and leaving Prothean for later dlc, after doing some serious work on it.Or at least writing about Prothy with big words right in the description for CE ,instead of some vague teasers.

They won't lock the thread; it's the only place for people on the forums to vent their frustration (most threads relating to nerd rage are being locked because of this one).

The moderators have already warned us against talking about piracy, and stealth will just be suspended, but I doubt Mods are even looking at this 500 page cluster**** anymore.

Can we please stop the pirating talk. Things have been somewhat civil and without interference from the moderators, let's keep it that way. Thanks!
