Can we please stop the pirating talk. Things have been somewhat civil and without interference from the moderators, let's keep it that way. Thanks!
and the insualts
and the petty name calling
and throwing Biodrone and Entitlement around.
Just behave.. disagree but behave.
and say " Good Sir.. I disagree...good day."

Bioware would have been better off making Hanar or Volus squadmate for CE and day-1 dlc, really, and leaving Prothean for later dlc, after doing some serious work on it.Or at least writing about Prothy with big words right in the description for CE ,instead of some vague teasers.

I wouldn't be surprised if anyone have asked if the Prothean squadmate is an LI.
Should have made the prothy a female.
Oh she is, she iiiiis...
LOL, now I'm just imagining male Sheperd buying "prothean dress DLC" and trying to seduce a very disturbed Javik (dressed as a female)

both sides want to win the advantage on this tug of war, the best deal as it were.
sometimes one of the sides helps the other by lending some rope, if this happens on the developers/publishers side is when they want to reward the consumers by giving them a better deal for a lower/no price, if this happens on the consumers side is when the fanbase is loyal enough and willing to buy more of the products even if overpriced.
however when each side pulls the other too hard you risk disaster for both sides, if the publishers/developers side pulls too hard and the opposing side, the consumers, "lose" the developers/publishers passed the breaking point and made their customers lose faith in their business practices losing them in the process.
however if it were the consumers side to pull hard enough, the developers/publishers would lose on the account of losing money and ultimately filing for bankrupcy making them unable to create the products their fanbase loves so much.
that's at least my perspective on things and as for me personally think that right now the rope's lenght is longer on the developers/publishers side and as such i'll pull harder in order to try and stabilize it.
others may see it differently however.

I can't help what those idiot shareholders want to claim to make a quick buck.
And yes, I realized my mistake and I think another post of mine made it clear that it was considered copyright infringement.
Thanks for putting me on the straight path though. Wish most discussions were like this.
Yeah, sorry, I posted this as soon as you wrote it, and it took the forum software a min to catch up.
And, to this day, the funniest one was back in the early days with the Bell Systems vs Phrack where Bell alledged soemthing like 1.5 billion dollars was lost. The case got thrown out due to the fact that anyone could pick up one of Bells own manuals and read the information in question. It wasn't exactly secret.

How cool is it seeing a Prothean woken from stasis shooting at the twisted remains of his own kind?
Meh. I watched the original Resident Evil movie and saw a human do the same thing.

My brain doubts that wuld make sense considering he's supposedly last prothy in the galaxy and the MP is supposed to be accurate to the ME universe.
But my heart yearns for a prothy adept in MP.
Make it happen BW!

Is Stealth3 maybe trying to get this thread locked?
They won't lock the thread; it's the only place for people on the forums to vent their frustration (most threads relating to nerd rage are being locked because of this one).
The moderators have already warned us against talking about piracy, and stealth will just be suspended, but I doubt Mods are even looking at this 500 page cluster**** anymore.
Yeah, I bet they're all off ths weekend, spending time with their families. Bastards.

The laws do need be reassed to match the current age, but trust me, when they do, this practice will be far more able to be regulated and make it clear that this is a despicable practice by the majority of those who do it.
You're a ******! The law already says it's illegal! What more can you do? Are you really going to allow power-hungry madmen to take away your liberties because THEY can't deal with this stuff? Furthermore, copyright laws should be loosened a lot if we hope to have a future in which we are not manipulated into being nothing more than slaves.
That said: no, I don't believe in pirating (games) either. I lbelieve in supporting the artists/companies that I like, though I would appreciate it if they didn't treat ME as a criminal for supporting them, and preferably that they don't screw me over.
As for From Ashes, I've said it often enough before. The content just seems ripped from the game in order to have us shell out ten bucks more for the game behind the scenes. It's an underhanded tactic I cannot agree with. Furthermore, the price of ten dollars is just too high. I think many people would've ordered the CE given the price of the DLC if they had known beforehand. And lastly, day one DLC have always been free before, an incentive to buy the game new, but with a million preorders this is apparently no longer possible.
A MILLION preorders. Imagine that half of those are Collector's Editions, that means that people will be paying five millions bucks just for this first DLC. Surely this could've been a LOT cheaper when you already know you're getting so much revenue from it. And that's just on top of the seventy million dollars they're already getting from the game's sales (in the USA alone!).
I know a game probably cost even more than that, but those are just the pre-orders in America, so the actual sales are going to be MUCH higher than that even. They're guaranteed a massive income, but this DLC just has to cost half of the Collector's Edition that we can no longer get. Anal probing would be a gentler practice, really.
