The problem still exists that I can never own DLC even if I pay for it. If I am a "true fan" and buy all the DLC I can still lose my access to it once Bioware no longer hosts it. Give me an expansion pack disk. Then I can use it whenever I want.

You can always wait for the inevitable GotY discs.

As far as i understood you pay with bioware points.

ive already said my peace on this subject. at this point, my advice is.. vote with your wallet. if its really that big of deal to you.. dont buy the game.

and keep in mind, i know its not that simple. im buying the game because of my investment in the previous two games, and this is the last part of the trilogy. believe me, i think this is bogus as well. if this was the first game in the series, i wouldnt have bought the game.

but at this point, lets just let things die down.. i think with 462 pages in this thread, and a vid with over half a million hits, bioware understands what our feelings are on the subject. lets just move on.

A GotY disc is not inevitable. There is not one for ME2.

Edit: There is also not one for ME1. You can download the DLC for free now, but it is not on the disc.

Why people are so pissed at this jees, Are people so surprised this is happening? They are a company out to make money.. From entertainment! It is their choice weather to sell the DLC and make a prophet on it or not. Yes it would awesome if they made it free for all you got the game new. But then how do you imagine the people who bought the CE would feel? $20 extra for some cosmetic's extra's..Since the bonus content they got is free with the SE anyway... Think of the revolt then...

None of us have played the game yet, how do we know this bonus character is so important to the plot of the main game? Yes Protheans are a big part of the Lore in Mass Effect, so it could be reasonable the core game goes deeper into prothean lore then the other games have without the DLC. Prothy merely expands upon this adds to the story. but not a crucial plot point.

That being said those who really wish to boycot, go right a head, it is not any of our business to talk you out of it. However, I have been on youtube and other place regarding this arguement, and people are being nasty. Calling people stupid (among other things) for still wanting to buy the game, or vice versa. Take a chill pill people... Hell what is the world coming to?

I think it's bad business but I'm not gonna bit#h about it on the forums. I'm just not going to purchase the game, and if you want to discuss it, at least try and be civil people =P

As said over and over, it will be sold on Origin and thus you will have to pay in exact cash.

Sadly people fail to grasp the concept of Collectors Edition content. This was stated from the start as a CE bonus. I had to pay for this extra content, you have to as well. Stop complaining about it. This will not change if Bioware gives this away for free, they are going to have to give back money for false advertising on the Collectors Edition. There is no right way or wrong way for Bioware to handle this now, stop complaining about something that cannot be changed for several reasons. This whole entitlement mentality that people have now is insane. You do not get things for free, it is up to a company on how THEY decide to market THEIR product, NOT THE MASSES! If you are really that unhappy about it do the responsible thing as a consumer and choose not to buy the DLC, but stop trying to get something for free because you feel entitled to it.
