And there's a better argument. Instead of just flat-out "HE'S A PROTHEAN OF COURSE HE'S IMPORTANT", we've got a, "He was around last cycle, he survived, he should know the proper tactics". Very nice. I applaud you greatly. :D

Thank You, Thank you, and for my next trick, I shall squeeze an Elcor through the eye of a needle!

I might point out, though, that he really is important to the galaxy at large reguardless of his previous career.  Even if he had the most basic of educations about his people, he would be an immense resource for archeologists to uncover more, possibly working, prothean tech.

Assuming he was important, since, they did, you know, preserve him for 50k years, he'd be even more so, again, reguardless of career.  People have gone over the scientist angle several times, but even a politician, the most worthless of careers, would have knowlege that would change the face of the galaxy, both in the long and short term.  Particularly the location and destination of currently unknown mass relays and natural resources.   It would not be hard for hte council to compare that information with known worked deposites to quickly find vast, untapped, mineral wealth.

Does the Prothean really have an Jamaican accent?

It's African actually. Nigerian, I believe? Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that.

I think the actor is Kenyan.

Probably this.  A Nigerian friend of mine sounds almost spot on (aka like Mr. Eko from Lost), so who knows.  We probably won't know until BioWare puts out the official press release for the DLC (taking a while, aren't they?).

I think his importance is basically, "He's our symbol of vengeance." Like, he's named the avatar of revenge, which is part of the Prothean culture. That's my guess, anyway.

Is it wrong that, after the game, if Prothy survives, I want to see a scene where he's crowned the Hanar Pope?

I don't know if I would want that. Because then my life might be complete and I wouldn't need anything else.

Edit: In other words, I totally want to see that happen.

If it was just a case that they didn't finish it in time before the release of the full game, they could have delayed the game for a couple of months or released the content free of charge.

"Could have" isn't the same thing as "should have." You need to actually have an argument there.

It's not my place to say what they 'should have' done, only what 'could have' been done differently. It's my right as a consumer to voice the concerns I have over a product or business model and it's the company in question's perogative to listen to me as a valued customer or disregard me and continue as they were.

Yeah, but don't you have to give them some sort of reason why your alternative strategy is better?

Bio could sell ME3 for $5.

I really want them to do that.

I 'd be very happy if they did that.

They have no reason to do that.

This one is excited to be able to meet a holy member of the enkindlers before this one's time. It wishes to express humility at this great honor and to lead the call of the enlightened.

Rejoice all the species of the galaxy, for our savior is here to stop the onslaught of the evil one's! The honorable one shall guide us to a glorious path of victory and righteousness that will pierce the darkness like the rising of a thousand suns. No longer shall the hanar and the other races cower in fear under a sea of madness, threatened to be swallowed up into the depths of freezing water. The power and might of the mighty Enkindlers shall be victorious!!!

I dunno. If they have enough info on the protheans so Liara can recognize a prothean world that nobody from the Cidatel races has ever been to, there isn't a lot of room for this sort of thing.

Though I've swallowed worse from Bio over the years, so if they really want to do this, they can.

Edit: and in ME3 terms, this just means getting a bunch of War Assets if you get him.Which is easily doable, and great for people who want to skip all the exploration.

A happy customer is a good and loyal customer.

Unfortunately, I seem to be well in the minority on these forums as apparently most people here like where all of this is heading or just simply accept it as the way things are.

Have you seen Serenity (the Firefly film)? That idea with the Alliance trying to control people and most of the population of Miranda just lays down and dies quietly. That's kinda what this feels like. Unfortunately, that paints me as a Reaver... someone that has become disgruntled and outraged by the change. I'm seen as a troll of the galaxy because my opinion differs from the majority.

There's a word I hear quite a bit here in Japan: Shoganai. It translates literally as "It can't be helped" and is often used by Japanese people when they're in a bad situation and refuse to actually act upon it, no matter how simple a way out of the situation might be.

With the majority of the posts here and in other forums that are discussing this topic, all I read is "Shoganai". :(

Btw, I appreciate that you're one of the few people who hasn't been a complete douchebag even when your opinion on the subject probably differs to my own. Thanks for that.

I've said all I wanted to say now, there's really no more point in me saying anything further on these forums. I have hopes that Bioware is reading these posts and taking it all into account but those hopes aren't very high... but y'know, it's worth it to try even if just one person hears you.

If it gets that hanar preacher off my Presidium sidewalks, I'm all for it.

...although, now that I think about it, I forced that preacher to buy a permit and go preach on the Wards. And there's a sushi bar on the Wards in ME2, but no preacher. Hmm.....implications unpleasant.

I've got no idea what the percentages are, either on the forum or in the world. I don't think most DLCs are worth buying and I don't ever buy them myself. So I agree with you on that much.

Doesn't help those on PC either, assuming you own the game in the first place.

Btw, BF3 is a great game.  Overpriced for a purely multiplayer game, but it's the best out there so far in its department.
