I think my stance is already pretty obvious! Bioware has a great history for great games even without any dlc involved... The dlc they add is usually pretty damned good compared to other developers, and for the most part, well worth the extra cost.

If Bioware was making crappy games, then sure I'd have a problem with day 1 dlc, as they should have spend more time developing the core game to begin with. With Bioware, that isn't the case... the core game is GoTY quality!

Bioware MADE great games . Now there are on borderline "Meh!" going down . Dragon age 2 - bad unfinished buggy game ; SW:ToR -> even more bugs then ever , generaly a bad game . 
The only thing left standing for BW is story ... As i said in previous post I will but the game and the dlc day 1 hopping that 3rd time's the charm but not expecting much . If this game will dissapoint me it will be the last game i will pre-order / buy on day 1 from BW .

The failure of DA2 just shows they aren't perfect... nobody ever expected them to be in the first place. The best developers eventually produce a flop here and there. Bioware was due.  After reading everything about the game prior to release, I had lost any interest of even purchasing the game.  I was not surprised when everyone was disappointed with it.

SWtOR is territory they were unfamiliar with... an MMO. I for one have never been a fan of any MMO, so I never had any interest in the first place... so meh.

Mass Effect is a tried and true original from Bioware that has only improved... to expect this to be anything less than either of the first two would be absurd!

MMOs are buggy in general. You ever try putting a couple hundred computers on the same server and have everything rendered perfectly? No, it doesn't happen. Bugs are part of the MMO territory, kind of like how guns are part of the shooter game category.

So, you're saying that Bioware made a buggy game in a field of buggy games and are getting knocked for it being buggy?

Makes my exclusion of that game from their overall standard even more relavent!

It wasn't ever going to be dlc for anyone who didn't get the CE. Bioware decided it was a massive thing to exclude, and offered it to you. I (and everyone else who ordered CE) have already payed for the Prothean.

Don't sweat it... that's what a lot of us have said many times in this thread... yet somehow those without the CE insist that we only paid for the physical extras... not the dlc... lol

dlc is dlc, thats like demanding the good parts of CoD Elite be free. doesnt matter about day 1 or not.

Agree... day 1 dlc is no different than day 150 dlc.

Both are developed post submission of the core game for certification. One just gets done sooner than the other because it was placed on the developer schedule sooner. Nothing more.

Just conjecture, but I'd say he's either a decendant and the best kept secret n the galaxy, or he was just put in cryo like those in Ilos, and is woken up during From Ashes.

I don't think anyone has said he will be on Eden... just that the mission will take you to Eden.  May be found and unfrozen elsewhere.

You are missing the point . The story will be complete no matter what . We are just talking that we don't get all the lore and the neccesary info about it . I'll try and give an example :

Lets take Lord of the Rings ( the movie ) . I think most of the sci fi fans here have seen both the normal edition and the extended one . While the ending is the same in both movies ( DUH ! ) , the extended version gives you more insight on the story . Now lets get deeper into this . Lets say for example that you went into a cinema and at the front desk you would see :
LotR normal - 15$ ;
LotR extended - 20$  ( on premiere day )
 I think most of you would be WTF? why don't they show the whole movie as one version and why are they doing this split .  

Most ppl here polute this thread with arguments about the cost and that ppl that didn't buy the CE aren't fans . Unfortunetly they completly miss the point . TB covers that very well in his youtube videos , bc most gamers are sad and pissed about one simple thing : Day 1 DLC is wrong ! .
Do not accuse us of not having and extra 10$ for the DLC .
Do not accuse us of not being true fans .
Do not accuse us of wanting free stuff .
Accuse us for wanting  the truth out of this !

Once again you make assumptions and base your arguments on those assumptions, you assume that this character has somehting to add, you assume that it has something to add to the lore. You do not know this. It could be but it also coud not be. That is what I am saying.

But now, based on those assumptions you go on to say that they should add something because you assume he is important. You go on to tell the writers, producers, Bioware and EA howto do their job. I'm sorry but all your arguments are weak and based on things you assume, you want or you believe.

I wonder, if they included something else(digital) from N7 edition in "From Ashes",instead of lowering the price,will CE owners be mad?I'd personally would go for soundtrack,but that would sell separately,anyway. Did everything else of goodies were said "exclusive",or some were just implied to be?
Just speculating what can be done to clear the issue(if they are so cautious with trailer,maybe they are preparing something)

I am basing my assumptions on characters like Shale and Zaed . While indeed Zaed wasn't much ( but his mission had some imput on criminal organizations in the mass effect universe ) , i think we all agree shale was a great char with awesome lines . 

And your arguments are just being unwise . Why would there be a comp char if it didn't add smth to the lore . I do not assume that the prothean will add smth to the lore . I am 100% sure that it will ( even if its just 2 lines during a dialogue , or a private conversation you have with him or anything ) . Yes i might be assuming that what he is adding will be 5% of the lore or just 1% , we don't know that but you saying that he won't be adding smth to the lore is not a good argument .
