Anything new happening around here? Or is it still a give more free stuff party?
Squadmate, mission is part of the regular game experience for the collectors edition. The CE having an extra dude has been announced for a long time. Some people wanted to get that character, and so they ordered the CE. Other people decided that the character is probably going to be stupid and instead went with the SE.
But Bioware never said that the bonus character would be something stupid/worthless. Then it was announced what the character's race is and people started to complain. Presumably because back when they decided that the character would be something stupid that they wouldn't want, they were wrong. Instead of realizing they may have made a pre-mature assumption, people get mad. It would be more understandable to be sad about missing out on this dude if the character were completely restricted to the CE, but it's not; so if you do think that the bonus character isn't stupid and a waste of time, you have an avenue to include it in your game. And for less than the price of getting the CE, the only edition that has the character by default. That does sound pretty terrible; everybody should complain more. It would be so much better if it were only possible to get the bonus dude by pre-ordering the CE, but since it's sold out now you'd need to find a used copy on ebay/gamestop later.
Also, what're the odds this thing reaches page 600 before launch?
sigh, not this again..
besides bioware and EA, name a company that separates available story content AT LAUNCH in order to monetize it?
right, NO ONE. so why should customers expect something different from bioware?
if i pay $60 for a complete version of the game, i expect to get a complete version of the game. period.
also, why was zaeed and shale offered as new game incentive and not the prothean?
because of multiplayer?
right, because there are zero companies that offer a complete version of the game (ALL story content is included), as well as multiplayer at no extra cost.
wait, pretty much everyone does that? well, gosh darn. maybe people do have a right to be upset.
