I just downloaded the DLC, now I'm about to pick up my standard edition game.

I got the CE so I have this for free. However getting DLC onto my 360 is a complete pain in the ass that involves furniture moving and all kidns of shenanigans. Without spoilers, can someone tell me if this is something I'm going to regret not experiencing early on in the story, or is it something that glides in fairly seamlessly ala Kasumi's entry, or what have you?

I would recommend getting him early , as he is great in combat and has some "interesting" things to say when you take him with you on sidequests

Also is it possible to download from ashes online without the game and then add it to the game later offline, or does one need to go into the game online on the psn?

Seriously? And all that whining about stores breaking release-dates! A step in the right direction. The New York apple stores where overflowing with Europeans and Chinese when the new Iphone came out in the US. I am a decadent hedonist consumer who wants everything NOW lol

SOLVED: As an experiment, I tried redeeming the code through origin (which did not work last night). For some reason, it worked this time.

TL;DR Redeem the code on origin instead of social.bioware.com

how can you do that? mine says i need to log into the game and enter the dlc section from there.. i can't even buy the DLC and problem is that game won't be released until 28 hours~

Any body you played the DLC could make a quick review without spoiler ?

Average playtime ? (comparition to other me2 story dlc could be a good reference).
Does his mission environement bring something different from the game (new texture, new ambiance) or it is just a generic level ?

I'm guessing it should be availble once they update the PSN store, which is usually Wednesday evening. At the latest Friday otherwise what's the point in calling it "Day 1 DLC"?

Only thing I'm tryin to find out is how much the DLC will cost (in £) coz I wanna use the £5 compensation Gamestation gave me on my elite card (after the whole lack of credit issue etc) towards a PSN card. Just don't know whether to get the £10 one or more...

The dlc is pretty short. It took me about an hour to complete it and that was mainly because I'm playing on insanity and the fight were pretty challenging. It's not a generic level but the ambiance isn't all that different than what I've seen from the game so far (five hours in).

What made it worth it for me is the lore. You get some insight into the Protheans and you find out some interesting facts. Also, you get a weapon but I haven't gotten a chance to use it yet.

If you're a lore nut (like me) the dlc is pretty good. If you're getting it for the gameplay or whatever, then I would say it's probably not worth 10 bucks. The fights are hard but not any harder than the main game. Javik himself looks pretty strong but much like the rifle, I haven't used him yet.

So can anyone confirm for me whether the DLC plays an important part in the story?
Do you meet the prothean in the game if you don't have the DLC?
Does the prothean add much to the game? i.e. Were the fears surrounding it correct?

I have a quick question is anyone else unable to use Javik when you first get him? I'm about to start the turian mission and I can only choose Liara and Vega, the Prothean is blacked out what gives?

You can't use him until after that mission, Liara and Vega are needed for it.
