"After the mission, there are absolutely crucial “big picture” story elements revealed through a sort of Q&A; conversation with Javik. Without him, you wouldn’t be able to fill in a number of gaps in the history of the Mass Effect universe — which makes it a shame that Javik wasn’t included in the base package, so everyone would be able to enjoy it."

This DLC is way overpriced for what it is. The mission, if you can even call it that, took me about 30 minutes on hardcore (I thought a reviewer said it was 2 hours long lol?) and really wasn't exciting apart from some cutscenes involving Javik.

It seems the DLC was planned and taken out for some reason and sold separately. Maybe they couldn't get it to work like they wanted to, but then your just paying for failed ideas. Anyway, bottom line is. You have no prothean your missing out.

I believe this has already been spotted and posted, but I suppose it's worth posting again.
Uncool move by Bioware/EA, I haven't got the game yet so I can't offer my own opinion, but if he feels compelled to say that the Prothean adds to the lore, then this is an extremely unethical move on the part of Bioware and EA.
TotalBiscuit 1 - 0 Bioware.
I cannot in good conscience encourage SE owners to not buy From Ashes, but I hope their purchase will be an informed one, and that Bioware has apparently taken lore central to the current setting of the galaxy, and gone $10 to the regular user thank you very much.

Any list on Javik's powers? Checking as much of these threads but none have talked about his abilities at all.

So he does have lore importance? Well that's good to know and horrible at the same time. I still refuse to buy this game and knowing that the "From Ashes" DLC has some good lore only strengthens my resolve to boycott the game.

For some weird reason, I'm stuck on this mission. Right after you see the first video of the Reapers invading the Protheans, the game just freezes and shuts down.
Anyone else having that problem?

Thanks much for the speedy reply caldo. Looks like Kaidan and Javik will be my main team for ME3, can't wait.

Ok.. Now that got really weird. I watched the second video first and then the first and it didn't get stuck.
Well, lucky me.. I can keep playing now.

That sucks, you can't use Javik on one of the first missions, rescue the Turian leader, he's blackened out

well seeing as the game and DLC is already out it's safe to assume that there will be no Prothy trailer :'(

Yeah, I saw that as well. I wonder why....
But as far as the prothean is concerned. My anger about this character being a day one DLC, like some kind of throwaway, is gone. The dude is a cool character. Learned about about the protheans from hm.
And everyone upset about his "voice" is WRONG. His voice fits very well....

Bioware's copout explanation is decent too. Still think he should've been part of the main game though.

I have the CE of the game. Where do I get the DLC? Do I already have it because I have CE or do I need to go somewhere to get this DLC?
EDIT: nm figured it out.

Im having issues getting the points to buy from ashes.
Is this a general issue or just with me? I'm using the same card I used to buy ME3 a few hours ago, but the bioware store wont accept the card.

Probably because of the constant exchange between your other two squadmembers. It's not just a few lines, but constant interaction the whole time.
