While not essential for the main story, it was mind blowing for a true fan!

Anyways personally it was amazing and NOTHING like Zaeed(disjointed/apart) and can't wait to carry him through the whole game.

So, according to EA's CEO, John Riccitiello, 40% of customers who picked up ME3 on day one at GameStop also purchased the "From Ashes" DLC. So, maybe people are not as mad as they seem after all?

People also keep buying capcpom "DLC" and horse armor doesn't make it a good thing. I'm all for game devs getting more money but not for content that's made well before game completion.

I didn't say that made it a good thing, simply that a lot of people ended up buying it anyway.

Bioware should take all the criticism as a compliment.
IMO the only people with the right to complain are purchasers of CE or DDE versions who thought they'd get access to content that they might otherwise not have been able to obtain

I've read all 96 pages of this thread. Contrary to popular thoughts, we really do care what you guys have to say.
Casey and I have explained how the development timeline on these DLC go, and in order to have our DLC flow with the main game, we do have to integrate the VO into certain places in the core product (Certain ME2 DLCs followed this same pattern). But there's a lot of work to crafting a great DLC, outside of the VO and script.
That said, i can tell you is that a team of of us poured our heart into this DLC after we had given all we could to finish the the ME3 game. We pushed hard because we wanted people to be able to experience this adventure on the first day, rather than day 30 or 60. We're proud of it, and if you choose to play it, I think you'll see that.
I really do appreciate every person who wants to give ME3 a chance (even if you're not happy with me right now!), and even without 'From Ashes' - I think you will be blown away.
Thanks for your support, and thanks for your feedback.
Mike
Day one DLC that's already largely on the retail disc/download is simply screwing your fanbase.
But hey, you guys have been getting more and more used to that since the EA acquisition, so it's not really that surprising anymore.
ME2 did it, DA2 was a complete joke, SWTOR is an unfinished and buggy mess, and now this nonsense with ME3. But I'm sure it was a stressful situation sitting in the cutting room deciding which piece of the game to remove, repackage and resell to your fanbase.
Thanks guys.

I have the PC Collectors Edition and submited all my codes but still no DLC add one for this. Is it already in the game or is it a special download ?
On the Origins games library screen click on the 'i' on the ME3 picture, it then takes you to a screen showing all your dlc, which you can then download. From Ashes IS a 500-odd meg download so you may need to be patient.

You have to have internet access for each time you start up Mass Effect for the DLC to be activated. If you don't, you can't load your game saves. Pretty awesome bioware/ea. Pretty awesome.
Bringing Down the Sky does the same thing to ME1. (or it did)

Can you actually have conversations with him on the ship? Or is it like Kasumi/Zaeed in ME2 where they just quip little things about their adventures?
He tells you a lot about Protheans. Pretty lengthy conversations. Not a lot of game integration though. (Kinda like "Geth do not intentionally infiltrate'.

I got caught in a stun-lock by a Brute. The rifle had overheated and the Brute hit me, when that stun wore off Shepard began to shake the weapon to cool it off, which is when the Brute hit me again. When that stun wore off Shepard began to shake the weapon to cool it off, which is.....well you get the idea.
I tried hitting it with allies powers but nothing could get it off me until I died.

It was short, and because it was so important to the overall story it should have been included in the price...
I am a VP of Marketing and Development for a software company in a different field, and this is such a thinly veiled money grab that it is really insulting.
Yes - pirates will take a chunk out of profits - so hurt the faithful instead? This game will provide hundreds of millions of dollars in a short time.

The mission on Eden Prime was it? I get that you can use Javik for the majority of the game (has his own lines and people react on him), but was that one short mission it? I was expecting something on the lines of LoTSB.Since we kinda paid the same price.
