Is he a tank character or dps?  Or can he be configured in different ways?

The Dog is a Wabarari(sp?) War dog class but essentially hes a fighter with specific talents only he gets.He also has unique equipment.Yes they are tanks or Dps you can choose thier stats and Feats(i think thats what to call them) they have 2 lines for dps and 2 for tanking. when you get the dog and look at the feats/skills whatever youll see what i mean.

Not the best tank.He is meant as close range DPS.Sure he can take some hits and stand though.I would not rely on him as main tank.Maybe only to get a stray off your healer.

Does anyone know if Dog gets the bonus from flame/ice weapons even though he doesn't get a weapon slot?

They are Minbari and have a large bone on the back of their head.

Probably just an acceptable off-tank. He's best at DPS or defending your casters and squishies if your main tank gets too overwhelmed. The puppy packs a punch, but since he's got no armor, the guys in plate will always take hits better than he can.

Oh, that's depressing, but alright I suppose.  I guess that means I'll only ever have one tank at a time once I get my whole parties...

Actually I'm not sure what to do...  I refuse to not have dog, but it makes having well rounded groups that vary in which NPCs I have difficult...

I believe so. His entire form will glow like a weapon would.

Saw it on a JTV stream while everyone had a fire enchant for their weapons during the tower battle of ostagar.

I think Dog will be a caster, and will yell "Puppy Power!" while casting.
