I owned Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 for the xbox360. however, i much prefer my playstation and when ME2 was re-released for the ps3 i bought it, because i knew i'm get ME3 for the playstation, and i wanted to have a character to transfer.

I just played through Mass Effect 2 again to get myself ready for the upcoming release, and i noticed that some choices that were in Mass Effect were not dealt with in the comic or game opening, leaving you with only the default results. as these were all relatively minor sidequests it's not a huge deal, but it is disappointing. When i had played ME1 on the xbox i made the choices i made, and in ME2 (again, xbox) i was pleased to see how these small things carried over. For as fantastic as the playstation version was, you lose content (again, even if it's only trivial content) by following a default route outside from the major plot points you can change in the comic.

so, i have an idea i'd like to propose that i REALLY hope bioware jumps on, or, if they don't, at least comment on why:

release an app in the playstation store that allows us to look at all the choices that would have been carried over from mass effect 1 and its DLC, into mass effect 2, and allow us to mod our save accordingly. I do NOT imply using this app to cheat, or to alter ME2 decisions. it would merely create a new save to be imported into ME2, compiled by the save generator program, to allow us to fully experiance ME2, and to then move what we feel to be our completed save into ME3.

i figure such an app shouldn't be that hard to make (i even believe i saw something similer for ME2 for the pc, generating a ME1 save) and i highly doubt i alone would love to see it. I figure that it would either be free, or at least cheap (say the $2.99 range), and with it we could feel more like we were reaching the conclusion we worked towards, as apposed to one we only had 70% of the say in.

again, what i'm proposing, hoping for, and asking for, isn't a cheat at all, just a way for PS3 users to play the full game, and to not miss out on content simply because we're on the ps3 and not the xbox.

i really hope someone from bioware sees this, and hope even more they like the idea. if such a thing is simply not possible for any reason, i'd also politely ask why.

in either event, i am looking forward to ME3! it's already preordered and i'm counting the days.

you may as well say "get if for the xbox then"
the point is that it's game content that is unavailable to one of the three platforms the game is on. even though i have a pc that could handle the game, and the xbox, many other ps3 fans of the game may not

The reason why your proposal won't work is because they probably already cut out all the dialogue that would be needed to experience those ME1 cameos from the disc.

Is it really that important to you? There weren't even that many ME1 side character cameos. I think the ME1 comic provided with the game gave you the choices that actually will matter at all in ME3.

it's not world shatteringly important. i AM still going to play ME3 on the playstation, and i AM going to enjoy it. it's simply an issue of completeness, and of feeling how your character affected the universe around him/her.
did you help the consort, or did she leave the citidel in shame?
did you save the colonists on feros, and spare the asari that the thorian was using?
etc

these things mattered in the first game, and could affect the second game. and possibly the third. not enough to change things maybe, but enough to feel that your story for shepherd is consistent and complete.

and the proposal could still work. cut content can be reinserted. a patch or dlc could be released to restore the dialogue. and i doubt i'm the only one who'd pay for it

There aren't enough people like you and me who has played ME1 to know what they are missing out on. If they released all that stuff as DLC, hardly anyone would buy it. At least they carried over the major decisions from ME1.
