We need a way to communicate with other players, in the lobby, and in game besides using our mics. Like, letting us type to eachother would be great. I was in a group earlier that didn't seem to know what to do and I had to do all the work for the missions. It was really frusterating not having any means to tell them what was going on.

I believe someone from BioWare said there is text-chat on the full game.

i hope so too...
would love to have the text option if need be, as my internet connection goes slooow when voice is used as well.
i just started with the multiplayer demo yesterday (finally!), so i'm obviously very much learning the ropes still. the group i got into was 3 guys levels 12, 14 and 18 (or thereabouts), playing with me... a level 1 newby vanguard. we managed to finish the bronze run, with me learning what to do and not to do by trial and error alone. it would have been great if there was a text function to just fire off a quick thank you to them for not just leaving the new idiot behind!

There's a "text chat" key in the key bindings menu, so I think there will be one in the full game.
