I noticed that if you buy the veteran pack after beating a gold run, you are guaranteed a gold card. I did not know this.
The second one is more of a "wtf?" :
Midway through my Nova attack, sometimes phantoms stop moving, I stop moving, and it goes into the one hit kill animation. Another time, I was running away from one, start climbing up the ladder and suddenly I stop climbing, and my character goes into the animation of getting stabbed by the phantom, like it guides me to it. And once, I ran away and it pulled me back into the animation. Why so cheap?
Two glaring points

I don't know where you're getting this information from. If it happened to you personally, great.
I beat Gold twice now, bought three vet packs each time, not even a silver in any of them. Went to bronze the following match after one of those gold victories, Claymore out of that vet pack. So I think you just got lucky at the right time.

That's odd, because a Veteran Pack guarantees an uncommon, AKA silver, item.
Me thinks you're a liar.

Me thinks you're misinformed, and an idiot. Lots of people, including me, have got vet packs and haven't gotten a silver. My suspecion is this happens when you roll a silver that you've already have maxed (Like if you would have gotten a mattock, but already have mattock X).
Secondly, you don't get a gold automatically, getting the credits from gold or bronze makes no diference.

Really dude? I've beaten gold about 8 times now, and each time, I've gotten a gold card. It's how I was able to get the skin tone for the Asari and the Salarian. The colors are not dark enough though, I wanted to make the Thorian asari

Then you're getting lucky. If what you said was true, what would happen if you beat a gold round, then played a bronze before buying anything. Would the game recognize the credits as "magic gold beaten credits" or would it convert them all into normal credits. Taking just what I did today, I beat gold 5 times and only got 1 rare unlock.

I'm N7111, buy veteran packs after gold, and am not getting gold items or silver items.

Character training, even for the human races, appears to be uncommon.
