They could have easily added in vehicles and improved them. But why bother improving when all you care about is satisfying shooter fans.

Bring the Mako back give it the Firewalkers rockets and increase the damage %50

Give it its machine gun back and increase the damage %50

Make the speed and acceleration %25 faster than the Firewalker

Make the turbo %25 faster than the Firewalker and last %25 longer

The mako was not nearly bad as people want to act like it was. All you needed to do is boost the speed on the thing add enemy vehicles and make the giant areas with nothing in them smaller or more interesting to explore.

Well seeing as devs never really promised it will be in-game, I don't find this disappointing.

You think so? As for myself I loved the Mako and I liked the vehicles aspect. From what I understood from what just read you still might have vehicles in ME3, you still use them to travel on the planets surfaces (on rails or more linear dependent on where are impression I got) but those surfaces are more linear and not open expanses and maybe it is different for every other planet visit. I saw nothing that said they do not exist in that.

It is sad to see 'scanning' still exists in such a heavy form though from what I could interpret.

Man, that sucks. How can ME games continue to get worse with each installment?

"You have to scan the planets to find key objectives, to find away-team
missions, to find resources that actually solve RPG quests back on
different planets"

OH GOD NO REALLY????????? FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU absolute worst addition to ME

No vehicles is a huge disappointment, but its pretty true: Mass Effect is trying to appeal to the shooter fans and we all know they have ADD

Its a video game. So do you support zero sidequests?...zero dialogue?. Nothing but rushign rushing rushing on the main quest to stop the Reapers? Helllll to the no.

Unless your playing COD

Really, no vehicle exploration? That's astoundingly disappointing. The problem with the Mako wasn't the Mako - it handled fine, but some of the planets had absolutely punishing terrain. Nothing was more "space majestic" (to coin a phrase) than that animation of the Mako landing on a planet, checking out the cool sights, heading up to a vista, seeing something glinting in the distance, and then driving in that direction.

I always thought and hoped that Bioware would simply add a little more variety to the nature of those explorations - some planets were like ME1, others were troves of treasure, others places of mystery, etc. I never thought we would come to this - unceremoniously being dumped at a location or an on-rails corridor in ME2 and now nothing at all in ME3. That is extraordinarily disappointing, and seemingly a point in favor of the pew-pew crowd.

Explain in more than one sentence if you can string it together without using txt spk.

Get over yourself, not everybody preorders games.

Kotaku are giving false impressions by disguising the fact that it was Ray Muzyka who is potentially even more biased than IGN *gasp*. Hand it to a totally unbiased gamer and they would certainly come up with a few issues.

seriously i just want to smack you upside your head because the cod argument is honestly getting old

you really are a moron if you think mass effect is anyway similar to cod and besides i dont play cod thank you very much.

people demanded no mako they got it, people demanded alot of things and got it and guess what same fn argument and i seriously just want to slap everyone one of you for making wild idiotic accusations

you can blame bioware and ea all you want but its really the fans that are killing this franchise.

you people demand what you want and still arent happy

I might have to consider adding a second pre-order after this news.
