Seriously, yeah I'm pretty psyched about this game. I'm an oldie too (relative to most of you young'ns) at 40. I haven't been this excited about any game. Ever.

I'm really happy this thread exists... everyone is posting about all the problems in the demo and with the DLC and everything, but I think the demo is amazing, and I don't think people who don't get the DLC will be missing anything vital.
ME3 March Madness countdown has begun. (Alliteration woo!)

Beaten and Platinumed PS version of ME 2- check
Saw E3 footage despite the Xbox 360 stuff and still said awesome- check
Reapers invaded Earth- Check
Saw the MP footage- Check
Playing the Demo SP- Check
Playing MP and seeing races options please note I wanted Volus so I can rebirth Tiax into ME 3- check
Seeing the FemShepard footage and go oh yeah my FemShepard who ended up ticking everyone off and did something wrong to the base in the minds of good guys- Priceless check.
Those are my reasons I am amped for getting ME 3. Just FemShepard playing again on Insanity is going to be priceless.

I almost failed several papers at uni cos of Dragon Age.
DA:O, Mass effect 1 & 2 are right up there with ultima underworld, ultima 7, Planescape torment and BG1&2 as some of my all time, most-played games.
I have been scouring the internet everyday for a fix of info to quell my addiction.
I am astoundingly excited for ME3. I don't give a sh*t if it's been 'dumbed down' or the fact that spacebar does everything (and gets me killed a lot in MP) - I just want to experience the STORY of my idealistic do-gooder Shepard, and his evil sociopathic counterpart.
My friends and I have a weekly lan since gaming online sucks ass - and even though it's online, the fact that there's a private game function means that weekly geek night (usually either D&D or lanning the older CoD games and Comapny of Heroes ad-infinitum) has been replaced by "lets play another couple of matches of ME3, then gather round each other's pcs and see what we got in our veteran packs for xmas"
Our girlfriends and wives must hate us...

Even my hatred for Origin can't stop me from wanting this game. Hell yes I'm excited but then again we're all just biodrone fanboys so who cares right?
I prefer the term BioMech. More masculine and sci-fi.
And I'm ready for it to be the 6th. I really need something to keep my mind engaged from reality for a bit that I will enjoy.

I have to stop myself from thinking about it to make the wait bearable, but just imagining playing the game, experiencing the different mechanics and the enhanced rpg elements, interacting with all the characters, unraveling each of the storylines in ME, and how they all come together... ahhhhhhh!
yea, I can't wait

I try not to go into games with (too much) expectations. At a risk of sounding like a BioWare cheerleader, I will say that I've played the majority of BioWare rpgs and haven't been disappointed yet. I am a console gamer and I like good combat in my rpgs so I don't mind.
My only gripe is that I haven't finished Skyrim yet, currently hooked on Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, have yet to finish my Elf Mage run in DA:O, and wanted at least ten Sheps by ME3 (and only have eight). Awww well, that's where replay value comes in
It probably will not be the caliber that Mass Effect 1 had for me BUT I do believe it will be better than ME2 (which I liked, not loved). So being second favorite in the trilogy is not a bad thing.
Now can March 6 come soon enough so I can take ME3 home for spring break?
