Maybe this seems like a dumb question, but how do I delete a character in multiplayer?  I don't see a button to click on or any keys on the keyboard mapped to do it.

I was thinking about this today too. In the full version i really hope there is a reset similar to MW prestige, i mean it would suck if you maxed out a character and wanted to start over but couldnt. I know there will be lots of classes in the full release but eventually someone will max them all and when they do there will be nothing left to play for and just stop playing altogether.

In the full release, you'll be able to send a completed character off to fight in the Single Player, which will offer bonuses in the SP. Then you can start over a new one. And as far as I've heard/been told, you can do this over and over until the cows come home.

So, if you're like me and want to reset a fully-done character, the best thing is to send it off to fight in the SP and then you'll have a chance to build a new one.

Well, that's fine for a completed character, but what if you simply want to erase a character?  Let's say you made some poor choices when choosing powers and abilities -- what do you do then?

What if you really want to play that female human or turian, but you don't like how you've developed those characters?  Starting a different character -- one you don't really want, but is of the same class -- isn't an acceptable solution, so there has to be a way to delete characters.

It's being said some times since mp was announced... that how it helps your war effort in the singleplayer, sending your character to the fight.

The MP to SP transfer has been confirmed for a long time now. As for non-completed characters, a blue-level unlock in the full release is a Respec single-use item, like medi-gel or rocket ammunition. It does exactly what it says on the tin.

So, if you unlock a race in the full MP and send him/her off to the Galaxy at War, will you have to unlock that race all over again?
I always knew about the whole Promotion system, but are new species one-time only things?

One of the devs confirmed respeccing your MP character will be in the full game. So you will be able to reallocate points if you want to take different evolutions of your abilities.

I don't think there will be an actual erasing option as erasing a character and sending it as a war asset is essentially the same thing.  The only differences are:

War asset: character erased and it positively affects your SP campaignn.
or erase the character and gain no such benefit
Why would you want to do the latter when you have the former?

Unless you can send an uncompleted character to war, then the option to delete a low/mid-range character and start over should be present.

As for respec, that's a one-use item and one of those random "you-might-get-lucky-and-find-it" drops.  That's hardly useful considering the items are so random.

Rockets and medi-gel are lucky random drops?

What I mean is that when you purchase the Rookie or Veteran pack, the items within are randomizd.  You could get some really awesome items or you could stuff that's fairly worthless to you.

I suppose one way around that would be to include a respec item in every pack, regardless of whatever else the pack itself contains.

You can reset your power talents in the full game via a button in the Powers tab.
