Is that what she meant? Huh.

Well then yeah, it definitely is. It's clear that this is a voice actor whoe recording a ton of dialogue. Unless they payed multiple people to voice the same character, I think it's clear that the voice is in the game.

I assume she like a million other ppl have stumbled upon the youtube link which is essentially audio ripped from the demo files

I'd say there's a 1% chance that Bioware is trolling us by leaving those files in the demo.

I imagine a memo might be like "HEY GUYS WE SWITCHED VA A WEEK BEFORE WE GO LIVE"

Since we already know all the squadmates, yes it's confirmed.

I turns out from what I've read, Anderson is actually the only temp squadmate.

Seriously though, I'm not sure how that would work.
EDI is the Normandy, she doesn't have a mechanical body to "inhabit" to become a squadmate.
Unless the Geth made her a synthetic body to link to and operate remotely.
Or she "borrowed" a mech of somekind to use as a mobile auxiliary defense platform.

Realistically though, I always assumed that EDI's database or mind (whatever you care to call it!) was too large in terms of filesize to inhabit a realitively small body like a mech.

I looked around the EDI server room in the Normandy SR2 and the walls are lined with computers.
Which I thought showed how much equipment she needed to store her consciousness.

All three are in the game. None of them are squadmates.

I'm going to be spending all of ME3 going "I miss my Krogan!"

As far as I can interpret the basic info, anyone who's not an existing squadmate has been reduced to the glorious rank of "cameo NPC".

A shame, I got the Chakram Launcher and wanted to give it to a Krogan just for the boomdeathlolz.
Big and deadly squadmates deserve a big and deadly assault rifle!

I don't agree with that at all. Many of the old squadmates have awesome roles in critical missions. Most of them are a part of mulltiple missions as well. They are absolutely not cameos.
