So in ME3 you pretty much get your ME1 squad minus Wrex + 3 new squad mates that are permanent. All of your ME2 squad mates that survive are reduced to major war assist roles with mission for them to get there loyalty. Still have not no answer how your LI works if its a ME2 member. Well a least it cuts down on running around finding people to join you.

WAIT a minute people! Didn't they say there was not a such thing as permanent squad mates in this one? I mean ok... I can see Kaden/Ash, Liara being full time squad mates as none of them were in 2 in this manor and you did not have a chance to lose them in the suicide mission. I can see Vega also being a new full time squad mate as he's only now being added but others on that list like Tali and Garrus? While id love for them to be full timers, I dont see that happening unless they survived Mass 2. what if you lost them, Wrex from 1 and any of the other from 2? They cant be permanent members if they are dead right? So im sorry but im calling BS on that list of permanent members.

Well the ones like Tali and Garrus are only "permanent" IF they survived ME2's sucide mission. Plus, I couldn't imagine not having any permanent squadmates, only quest given ones, that'd be lame as hell. Part of what makes it so great is picking your own squad for every mission.

What we do know is there are LESS squadmates in ME3 than ME2, so at best there is only 1-2 more than the list above.

As far as EDI having a feminine synthetic body, the only reason I could come up with is that she needed to blend in with a crowd of organics as to not raise any suspicion. Although I doubt anyone won't notice EDI's new figure in a crowd of people regardless.

Guys, all ME2 squadmates are in the game, they are just not squadmates. Also Wrex is also in the game but again not a squadmate.

I think the OP should put that in the post XD

My impression was the same of manny people, the prothy sometimes sounds like an african.

Blame Hollywood for this. 


I liked the squad roster, but I'm a fan of smaller squads instead of the huge crowd that was ME2 (not a complain).

I somewhat don't agree with all the critiscism, some original ME2 member will be cameos, but others don't, so you won't use at least one member of the permanent squad a lot during the course of the game.
Sure, we all have our favorite characters, but in the end they all have to make an appearance in the game.

I have one soldier playthrough in wich I deliberate screwed myself and it was even a paragon playthrough: Kaidan, Tali and Garrus are dead (along with Mordin, Samara, Thane, Jacob, Legion and the collector base).
I hope my other soldiers can keep up with Shepard, otherwise I'm trully damned!

In my game Garris and Tali died so... I really don't see how they can still be alive for me in ME3 unless I get an incomplete squad from the get go...

Okay, I don't want to sound critical, but is Tali a permanent squadmate. I know about the magazine that confirmed her, but it also said there are no new romances and uh... look how that turned out. There are at least three (Diana, Sam and Steven). I think it might just be wishful thinking from her fanbase.
