I think I understand/can guess why Vega a new character is a permanent squadmate. But I still don't like it. I mean we have such an awesome cast I already. I want the existing cast more fleshed out with more conversations. Especially legion...

Can I trade Tali for Grunt. Or at least a generic Krogan? Perhaps if I some how paint Vega orange he may begin to resemble a Krogan. I will feel a bit let down if I cant role with a Krogan as you could do for the last two games if you so wished. Also, I want Zaeed so I can have more storied from him.

is is just me or the me3 sqaud really sucks EDI as a sqadmate,  come on.. thats so stupid and unbelievable, cant you do better bw? Only sqadies i will use is Garrus and Kaiden, i understand how some people can care abourt liara and tali, but come one EDI, seriouslly? I do not care about Vega or Africano Blood Diamond either, there is no Drell or Krogan or Salarian squad member, this is BS..

Because everything in the mass effect universe is beleivable  and if the prothean is such a big deal to you... Don't download him...

I came to the franchise first via Mass Effect 2. The second squad characters resonate far more with me than the original crew. That being said, I would have to imagine that the fans who started with Ashley/Kaidan/Wrex, etc., must have felt burned with their diminished roles in ME2.

This beggars the question as to why Bioware didn't simply build the ME3 squad - predominantly - around a "new" team. Doing so would have negated the divide between fans of both previous outings, and then every previously introduced squaddie could have been featured in the finale on the same page (more or less).

In fact Bioware had the makings of that new crew in newly-mobile EDI, Vega, the Prothean and is the "Vigilante" character still in the mix or just an urban myth? One thing the other prominent Bioware franchise did pretty well was in elevating the status of tertiary characters to full party member in Dragon Age 2. Merrill & Isabela; Anders had a larger role in the expansion pack Awakening, but he sort of counts too.

If you ask me, I think that there were second or third string players in the Mass Effect franchise who could have served, and even been accepted by fans. Kal'Reegar, Feron/Kolyat, Captain Kirrahe would have given us a Quarian, Drell and Salarian member in place of other favorites (who could still appear in cameo roles). At the very least, I wonder if this was even considered - in order to mute the blowback from fans who would split their opinions based on which of the earlier chapters they preferred?

I will probably roll with Garrus and Liara, sometimes Vega and Ash, rearly Tali, EDI, but I MUST TRY OUT THE PROTHY.

I hope the Prothean has good biotics, as Liara is an ex-LI, I don't really want her to be a regular squadmate alongside Garrus.

Though curious about something, how does your LI progress with Miranda/Jack/etc if they aren't squadmates anymore? Or is that side of the game non-existent in ME3?

The rundown is something like this:

Biotic specialist: Liara/Prothy
Tech specialist: Tali/EDI
Combat specialist: Ashley/Vega
Tech hybrid: Garrus/Kaidan

I think bioware did a good work balancing the team, if you look closely you´ll realise that you always get one specialist no matter who died before, and probably at least one hybrid too.

I´ll likely stick to the ME1 squad (Liara/Tali/Ashley/Garrus). I don´t really like much the new squad but i guess i´ll give them a try. So far i´m glad that you can stick to using your old squad if you wish so.

Especially since racism is the belief that once race is superior to another, not taking note of a specific accent and it's racial origins or using derogatory terms for another race, because derogatory terms are just prejudice, unless you use them because you are racist.

Tali sounds like an electronic middle eastern woman, Garrus sounds like some New york /Chicago wise guy.


So what's wrong with it? or is the standard Ancient powerful races must have stuff ye old english accents?

Well I hope so. It just wouldn't be right otherwise. Part of the whole fun is being able to pick your own squad, surely BW knows that.... Right? Oh nnnnoooooeeeesss! Now I am starting to PANIC! lol

They have not released a list. But they are all pretty well known at this point, having been confirmed by people who have played the full game, and simply looking into the files in the demo. They aren't really what I would call unconfirmed at this point.
