Williams is a soldier, she is not looking to attract enemies with her looks, she there to destory them. She's strong, direct, firm, confident women not some squishy girly girl wishly washly (Liara). And just redesigning her hair in a half hearted to attempt to make her more pretty, (any hair do, ooolgy is ooolgy) really does a diservice to her character.
She someone a man could have a couple of beers with, afterward shoot the bottles on the range and then have a tie breaker where he has reach and she has flexability.

Eh, I wouldn't have complained if she still looked the same. I thought she was great already. But I'm not complaining about her new look, either. I like it just fine, thanks.

I would laugh so, so hard if one of Ashley Williams' alternate appearances was her old look. That would be like a one-two punch to complainers quick to demonize Bioware and to fans that dislike the new direction.

It would be beautiful (in more ways than one).

If her alternate look is the pink barbie armor again, I wouldn't be pleased.

No, I wouldn't either. But Colossus would be nice.

Wait a second....First you say that she's not the type that worries over her looks.  She's strong, confident....she's not a 'squishy girly girl'....since apparently women become that once they let their hair down and put on a different set of clothing.

She's actually just 'one of the guys'....One of those gals that you could have a couple of beers with....go shoot some bottles on the range.......BUT THEN you're going to sexualize her by having her go off for a 'tie breaker'????

WOW!!!

It's been discussed to death since Ash's designs were first leaked last year. The game is already gold, and no amount of whinge will change it.

Yes, I'd say it's rather dead.

Yep...I agree with you on that.....and I knew that it was to late for anything to change with her....I was just making conversation with the OP.  ;)

Hm, it seems that her fans don't mind final new look, so why I, rather medium supporter, should bother asking to return un-glamorized Ashley?

Don't Mind? Try actively adore the new look, as in rabidly assault anyone asking WTF is up with the new high class callgirl look to what was (imo) one of the best female military characters a game has put forward.

I mentioned this in another thread already, but if necessary I'm perfectly willing to say it again.

Yes, the game has gone gold. Yes, no change is going to come of complaining about Ashley's new appearance. We get it, and we don't care. It is only to Bioware's benefit that fans speak their minds truthfully about all aspects of their games. It is perfectly possible they'll ignore certain opinions or they don't feel they're useful, but fans that are trying to shut up other fans who are voicing their opinions is not helpful or fair, and neither do they represent the voice of reason by trying to do so (as they seem to think by using words such as 'whinge' to marginilize and discredit the alternate opinion). Anyone who wishes to praise or criticise any aspect of the games is allowed to do so.

And yeah, for the record, I'm not a fan of Ash's new look myself.

Ash now also sell you jewellery and sexy underwear from EAs ingame store. An unique set of earrings and a blue N7 lingerie can now be yours for only 1000 Microsoft points...

I thought it was common knowledge that the entire female cast had breast surgery?

Wait, what? Is that a good or a bad statement - feels lost ^^

Ash is definitely one of the best Alliance military characters in the game, regardless if she has a bun or open hair. Also I don't mind that tiny bit of gloss ... she simply looks a bit more feminine now and is still the same old character we used to love.

Hey, I even checked if she still has her beauty spots at the same place. And yes, she has. New Ash is old Ash with just open hair and a bit lip gloss. And if I ever get bothered by her open hair in the battlefield, I still can give her a helmet :police:

Actually one could say the same about Miranda, you know destroying enemies and stuff... still everyone says that she looks sexy. Back to Ashley, i honestly prefer her new look, she looks way better than before.

I guess it was too much to hope that when Ash got armor people would stop complaining about her hair being down, <_< Her hair is down, the game went gold, nothing is changing now. Get over it

Guess it'll go as long as there are fans of the series are active.

I mean, how many times did we argue about Horizon since it happened?
I doubt it's going to end with ME3.
