And I don't mean happy. Even in the videos of them, they all seem to be mincing and prancing about with bows, skipping through dew laden meadows of flowers and rainbows and such. Yeaaaaah, I really don't think I'll be playing an elf.

I know they have feminine facial features.. which sort of sucks. It's impossible to make an elf that looks like a male.

It takes awhile but I've made several masculine male elves, simply because I do not like the feminine man look. If you actually saw any vids from DA:O, most elves live in the worst slums of the city, are treated worse than dirt, and do all the unpleasant jobs in the city. Nobody particularly cares if some go missing, and their Alienage walls are more to protect them from racists that would burn the district down, than to keep them out.



The other, smaller group of elves are the Dalish, who roam about in forested lands in small clans, they live off the land, worship their ancient pantheon, and keep what little lore is left of their forgotten culture.

But just on a serious note, when I read this thread again I flash back to the argument people had with World of Warcraft back in the BC Beta. The Blood Elf Males were small and feminine and the forum backlash was huge. How they looked like ****s, gays, etc and I'm sitting there thinking.. have these people ever SEEN a Blood Elf? Or an elf for that matter? Elves aren't muscle men, and they certainly aren't built, shaped like humans at all. They primarily deal with magic in most fantasy lore so they don't need to look like a body builder... but oh well, feminine elves doesn't bother me o.O

I say elves look fair, perhaps a little feminine.....but gay is a bit exaggerated. Prancing around just might be their thing because they're more agile and nimble, perhaps?

Masculine elves are one thing, but has anyone managed to create an effeminate looking dwarven man? I'd imagine that would be quite hard to accomplish.
