when have elves ever been presented as not being effeminite?

I was thinking that, and it's true. Elves are effeminate. That's just how it is. Somebody show me a manly macho elf and I may rethink this, but until then...

Sorry, Bongo, I'm strictly butter side up. This sounds to me like a classic case of transference. You're sublimating your gay urges. If you like motoring down the ol' hershey highway, power to you you, but I'll take some fresh pink snapper over some chocolate any day of the week..

And will you PC people ****** off and die already? You're the most annoying bunch of ****s on the planet! Sometimes you just have to call a spade a spade. Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill. If you think there's no such one as someone looking gay you seriously need glasses and/or a reality check.

And for the record there has been lots of good fasntasy art depicting elves as anything but effeminite. And for the record I have quite a few gay friends. I'm not a homophobe, racist, or bigot, but I'm not some PC jackass either.

actually if you go the opposite route and make elves more "skeletal" and emaciated for a mage you might be able to get that "im a zombie wizard" look that looks like something out of a grave.

the elf model's natural femininity can work for you there.

Calm down the language there, Cutter69.

To everyone: keep the thread on the topic of the CC and character design.

They can't help it, being PC isn't a social niceity, its an ideology. A way of looking at the world.

Elves are naturaly like that some straight people rather look lean an dignified rather hack an slash killer like try watching braveheart and the celtic dances during that wedding and the youtube videos of these elves and see the simularities in celtic culture just because they didnt design how you wanted doesnt mean they look a certain way -macho elves- the ones you want are dead ones orcs btw in LOTR

While I agree there is a "gay look" for each of its inner subcultures, I disagree with your reluctance to use the PC stick.  I thought it was fairly obvious that the OP was only posting this thread out of immaturity/homophobia/macho insecurity, and that deserves mockery and a strong thwack with the PC stick.

Fine! I admit I'm just too mild and sweet-tempered, and apparently the wrong person to carry out the deed. How about this, I hereby present you with the said PC stick and you just give the OP a spanking he wont forget in a lifetime, with my full approval? *hands over the stick and trots over into the farthest corner:mellow:

Nah.  The most appropriate person for the task would need to have a big beefy man-elf as their avatar so that there can be S&M gay innuendo.  This will ensure that the OP has yet another chance to remind us of his heterosexuality.

Besides, I can write epically long diatribes on this subject, and I think it's better for all involved (including me) if I sit this one out.

That's a pity, because it sounds interesting. And in this case I am being neither sarcastic or ironic.

Yeah, everyone who doesn't heap derision (or worse) on gays is brainwashed into a "PC ideology". It couldn't possibly be because they are decent human beings in possession of something called "empathy", instead of immature little twits. :innocent:

But empathy is for sissies and sissies are gay, so who wants to be a decent human being anyway?

(For the record, you want to know what's really "masculine"? A straight guy who's so secure in himself that he could go to a gay pub with pink-dyed pigtails, a dirndl and makeup, and have a rip-roaring time making jokes at his own expense. Anyone who feels the need to make a big hoopla about "masculine" and good or "feminine" and gay/bad is just spouting hot air.)

Yeah heaven forbid you make a thread having an opinion on an internet message board and people freaking disagree with it.  Reality check is your moronic opinions are just that: moronic opinions.

*shrug*  I think I did a decent job of making some manlier looking elves, I wouldn't necessarily call them macho, but I wasn't going for either effeminate or macho, so..

:) Those are some lorvely faces. But still, not total macho pro-wrestler material, which is, frankly, just not how elves are supposed to look anyway. They're lithe, graceful, slight, etc. That doesn't mean that they have to be simpering weaklings, either, or effeminite in manner or personality. Or gay, for that matter.

I'm not sure how anyone can look gay. Please don't misuse words like that. What if someone said, "Jeez, that looks so guy-in-a-polo-shirt, it's gross!" and you were a guy who loved his polo shirts? Now what if that became a universal phrase to name something displeasing or effeminate? I love my effeminate, straight men and my manly, gay men. And I love my manly, straight men and effeminate, gay men. And all those in between. I love them all unless they're jerks.

As for the EFFEMINATE character creation, I think you're just using the wrong settings. You can most definitely make a manly-looking elf. The key is, in my opinion, to widen the jaw. That usually solves a lot of issues. ;)

You will never edit censor or kill words they will always be used as insult, as jest, as pride, you don't own a word (no matter what tv says) the only thing you can do is shout and yell and make a fool of yourself. Your not even fighting a losing war your fighting a war you can never win its fools task to try and change.

No, but the idiots like you who leap to their defense when they're not even being attacked are brainwashed IMO. You're the Big Brother liberal types who believe that everyone has to get along and all think the exact same way and all believe the exact same things and no one should ever be possibly be the least bit offended by what anyone thinks or says or does. Freedom of speech doesn't mean being free from being offended, so love it or leave it pinko.

Yeah heaven forbid you make a thread having an opinion on an internet message board and people freaking disagree with it.  Reality check is your moronic opinions are just that: moronic opinions.

Unlike your idiotic opinions? Disagreeing is one thing, trying to tell people they're not entitled to even think how they please is typical of bleeding heart, PC idiots like yourself. You people make me sick. All you do is weaken the country by tring to make everyone weak and soft. So go ahead and report this thread and get it locked down because we know how much you pansy liberals love censorship and can't take being called a few names. My dad taught me about sticks and stones and how names can't hurt me. You PC jackases are the result of liberalism run amok. Maybe if you're dad would have been wearing a man's pants instead of a mom's apron you wouldn't be such whiny little gaywads.

Thank goodness someone's here to set these liberals right!   It's almost as good as when he totally burned that Maria Caliban for being a closeted gay man.  This is exactly the type of searing acumen I would expect from someone with "69" appended to their name!
